Wish we could get this thread moved to the racing section and pinned to the top where it belongs!

First time posting for me but using the great advice for a while.

Sorry I have missed it but after the weight for:

a rotor
rotor housing

Looking to import some parts from us for a rebuild - much cheaper but depends on postage which is weight driven.

Thx in advance.

Per Trackjunkie; his slightly used OE clutch assembly was 16.2 lbs, so figure maybe 17 lbs new with factory PP bolts. Which the OE flywheel is usually 17.1 - 17.2 lbs.

That’s roughly 34 lbs total assembled to compare against a race clutch/flywheel assembly, but don’t forget to add in the 3.6 lbs counterweight that most non-OE flywheels require for proper balance.

Sorry, some of these things I didn’t want to separate fully, mostly was trying to get an accurate unsprung mass number for my car. Not going to post everything since I have some custom stuff like brakes, speedway swaybar, etc. that won’t be applicable for anyone else:

S1 Front Upper Control Arm with Speedsource delrin bushings - 2.6 lbs

S1 Front Lower Control arm with spherical shock bearing/aluminum carrier (factory bushing is heavier) and Powergrid endlink attached - 7.9 lbs

S1 Front upright with wheel hub bolted-on having 2.75” ARP wheel studs, & Motorsports ball joint camber bushing - 16.3 lbs

.

IGN-1A ignition coils are heavy, (4) of them bare weigh 1648 grams/3.63 lbs plus the mount & hardware weight on top of it

can’t recall ever seeing the OE ignition coil, but they’re very light in comparison

I have the dashboard out of my car and decided to remove the A/C evaporator assembly while I was in there. It consists of the actual evaporator core, the inlet and outlet pipes which are wrapped in butyl tape, and two allen-head bolts. Total weight for the assembly was just under 5lbs.

Correct. The main HVAC unit even with the heater core still installed weighs almost nothing, it's very surprising. The blower unit is also very light.
