Questions:
Stock Head Unit (that thing feels heavy as hell when removing it countless times)
Stock Speakers (Midrange in the door and rear, as well as the tweeters)

so it may be worth it to take them out, cause i dont want them in there, and i dont like more than one passenger in my car, the only thing i am worried about is my exhaust being loud (rx7store midpipe with resonator, and corksport catback)

I must have a different scale or seat!

Rear bottom seat for mine is 3.0kg each and back seat is 3.5kg each. 6.5*2=13kg and in keeping with 28lbs...

Hey I'm just jesting. I'd like to gain weight, but the most I've ever gotten to in my life is 145 and that was when I was lifting every day. I just don't have the genetics to put on the pounds.

Door Weight

Weighed on a postal scale.

Front Door complete except no door panel, speakers, sail, speaker panel, or window motor: 49 lb 8 oz

Front Door Panel: 6 lb 6 oz

Bose Sail and Tweater 6.4 oz

Front Window Motor: 15.4 oz

Bose Front Door Speaker, Wiring, crossover, and Speaker Mounting Panel: 5 lb 7 oz

Misc Front Door Panel and Speaker Screws, Bolts and Mouting Hardware 11.7 oz

If you total that up that make the Front Door Complete with Bose speakers: 63 lb 6.5 oz

Rear Door complete except no window: 34 lb 7 oz

I bet you can cut 100 lbs out of the doors... not be very practical. But swapping all four can be done in less than two hours, so you can have a competition set of doors and a streeet set. I have both passenger side doors for sale if anyone is interested, $200 for both, pick up only in So Cal.

anybody know what the glass weights all the way around or any info on weight of individual pieces. Cause lexan is about half the weight of automotive glass. If its real heavy and lexan not being rediculously expensive might be worth it.

i found out lexan is half the weight of glass for same thickness and a lot stronger. At .25 inch thick glass is 3.2 lbs per square foot where lexan is 1.56 lbs.

yeah i think you can get all replacement lexan through mazdaspeed.

downside i hear is it swirl/scratch-marks easier. (don't use on the windshield)

Why those rotors are so heavy????? Specially the front ones !!!!!

This is rotational weight and directly affects the performance of RX-8
