I always find that co-operation with a problem decreases in direct response to a lawsuit.....

If Scott does work with you on this problem he is a better man than most

Doesn't matter anymore does it?

Besides, he wasn't fixing it before either. As I've stated several times now, I only started this thread when he closed the lines of communication and I had no where to talk about the issue besides on the forum.

I know it's normal for some of you to think that it takes 12+ months to get something resolved when dealing with Mazsport, but it simply shouldn't be this way.

Since you're saying Scott would be a stand up guy if he still deals with me (as if he's doing me a FAVOR by supporting his products), can you answer my question in post #302? I don't want to sound like a broken record, but anyone who's telling me I'm unreasonable or that Scott is doing a great f'ing job needs to tell me what I did wrong or why this thread shouldn't exist. So far not a single person has stepped up to the plate.

I agree that you have/had a problem...and that you haven't had it resolved to your satisfaction....

I don't agree that your tactic is the best way to get help

I also agree that your problem seems to have merit, and deserves an answer

I will be surprised if you get the same help as you would have before you decided to involve the legal system

OK. Fair enough.... I still haven't heard what tactic you would have employed to resolve this issue if you were in my shoes. I'm only putting you on the spot because people are chiming in with generalities and none of them are offering better solutions.

My post was to seek help from other people. I wanted to know what this problem was. I had already assumed Mazsport would not help me. Scott to this day does not email me. He has sent me a PM only once, and that was to tell me he was testing the pump - so that I wouldn't bump this thread again. He is only responding in this thread because other users are viewing it. If you're confused what this means - this is a pony show.

Ultimately this issue no longer matters to me. Since I started this thread, I've removed the pump. It no longer causes my car to run poorly. The best I can hope for is a refund of some sort. I don't anticipate I will receive one. I would be *shocked* if a solution comes from this. We only have public awareness of the problem.

Is public awareness a bad thing?

PS: I've seen invasion08 pop into this thread a few times. He isn't responding to my question either.

If anything, I'm doing myself a disservice by posting information before going to court.

This is my last post on the topic for a while.

There is a definite need for a fuel solution for this car... One that stands up to the track especially.

I might still go to a surge tank setup if the other mod doesn't work at my next track day. I'm in Rome and really miss my car :

I would imagine there are many needed upgrades if one plans on turning their rx8 into a track day star. For anyone who only uses theirs as a daily driver, "most" will never need a fuel pump upgrade. This includes FI as well.

Brettus, it's a given that there will be bumps in the road. Where a GOOD shop matters isn't when things are smooth, but when things aren't. Anyone can take money and ship you something. What counts is when things don't go as planned and how they deal with the problems.

there ARE.

Anyways, back on topic again. The thing that throws me off is the fact that it works fine when the stock pump is back on. If it was his fault, what makes it so the stock pump is better than the aftermarket pump?

(just to clarify, I mean in functionality, not stat sheets. The mazsport pump should be better, but the stock one is performing better)

The only explanations I've been able to come up with are that A) the pump was not installed correctly (not likely... wasn't it Scott that did the install?) or B) the pump was not providing the required fuel pressure after extended durations of operation when installed on Jason's car.

The only information we have thus far is that "the pump is working great" on the bench, so only more time will tell. I'll be very disappointed if the new thread Scott said he would start next week doesn't have a lot of detailed information about the testing procedures used along with the results.

so still not really any resolution in this?? has it been proposed for scott to offer a replacement pump and a free install? I mean, if this pump is working just fine, then he can re-sell it as a good working used pump and be done with all the hassle. Seems the most noble approach to me...

you know there are a lot of other threads and topics that speak negatively about Mazsport, but this one in particular concerns me the most. this isnt one of those threads where you are hearing only one side of the story thats shrouded in mysterious details, this one is upfront and out in the open.

for me its a concern because i am sitting on a few grand in hardware and in a couple months i have some installing to do.... there are a couple things i would like to pick up from mazsport, but until i see where threads like this go, i dont feel comfortable giving them my money....

hope there is a resolution of somekind soon

this is unfortunate but it is what it is.......i highly doubt the outcome of this will ever surface....especially now since it seems he has far bigger fish to fry....i feel bad because there are no answers for leary owners, and no refund for screwed ones
