362HP Turbo RX-8 at AIAS
http://www.mazda.com.au/currentnews...icleZoneID=3225
Caveats:
It's only a Mazda OZ concept
It doesn't seem to be finished
Then again there's a decent chance a version of this will end up as an RX-8SP when sales begin to decline.

With the headlights? Yeah. But if you've ever owned a turbo rotary, you'll know that the bonnet vents and larger air dam aren't just for show like on most cars. I beleive thats an adjustable Mazdaspeed wing on the back too, which is fair enough since the is destined for track work, and a 270kW rx-8 has a fair chance of making use of it.

Actually, I was talking about the go-fast stripes and the mazda sticker on the side.
Not to mention the white rims.
Seeing as the constant colour theme was red with black highlights, why not gunmetal rims?

I liked the mention that the engine retains the same compression and redline. So from that can we conclude that the engine has OEM internals?

Those stripes are so GT-350 or GT-40. Anybody who's butt puckered up in the other thread when it was suggested that the horn is a Ford part probably just sucked an office chair up there.

Well, at least we know know that Mazda has been bulidng a turbo Renesis. With all the hysteria about HP claims in the US, maybe our MS version will get a turbo to ensure the car makes plenty of power.

Motor sport manager, Allan Horsley, said: "The RX-8 Motorsport Concept was a must do challenge for us and thanks to the engineering sophistication of the production car it all came together in just a few months.
Somehow that statement doesn't match up with how I perceive after-market development is coming along...
