Faint squeaking noise...

MN Faint squeaking noise...

There is a Squeaking noise coming from the engine bay when im at idle was wonderingif this is just a bad belt if so what do i look for on the belts to determine if they are bad thank you.

It could be one of two things.
1. Belts or 2. see attchment-red circule yup, its going out.

Spray some WD40 on each belt (with the engine idling); if the squeak goes away, you found the culprit! It may only need to be adjusted.

Does the squeaking noise disappear when if you engage the clutch?

no its still there with clutch in its very faint i think maybe its the pulleys...? i had my mazda dealership check my belts they said they looked fine. im gonna try the wd40 on the pulleys and see what happens. Thanks you guys for the responses!!

the water pump is bad for making noise like that right before it starts to leak.take off the belt and start the car and see if the noise goes away.if it does the take off the pully and look for crusties at the vent hole under the neck.if there's crusties change the pump.its really easy.
