Clutch Creak
I'm now getting a creaking noise from my clutch pedal assembly. Now normally I would suspect that it's my bracket about to fail, but I have the Mazsport pedal reinforcement kit so I'm wondering if there might be another area that's producing it. It sounds like a plastic creak; what you would get if you were to move plastic that wasn't well lubricated.

Maybe your reinforcement is not that solid? I would try to depress the pedal with my hands while looking at it, if you notice any flexing then it is time to swap to a welded pedal
Or you simply forgot to grease the joints!

I hate taking off that damn pedal assembly. At least this time I don't think I'll need to adjust the free play.

The sign that your peddle is going to break isn't noise. The sign is that the clutch peddle physically gets closer to the brake peddle. It's possible it makes noise long before that point however, but that doesn't indicate that it's breaking.

Noise is usually due to metal flex (it follows a bad trajectory on its rails, hence the squeak) or bad lubrication\lose bolts (that make sense in point 1).
Anyway i broke a transmission for a bad pedal and some track days.. i know this is a cheap sports car but they should've saved on the interiors instead of giving us a bad gearbox\assembly!

i get that creaking noise when it gets cold outside. when i first bought the car it did it, so i sprayed some liquid wrench up there and it's stopped doing it for about 6 months.
now you guys are making me paranoid about buying that kit.

the reinforcement kit doesn't make the clutch feel any stabler than stock unless your clutch was already on it's way out. You can still move it left and right a bit, just like the oem clutch setup allowed.

Replaced my clutch pedal assembly with c0ldf1ame's and the noise went away. I think the problem is I didn't tighten the brace to the pedal assembly all the way, but I need to get a half inch socket and a half inch wrench tomorrow since Mazsport uses standard fasteners to confirm that that's the problem. The welds look fine and with how the Mazsport brace is constructed, there's actually no real point to the welds anymore once the brace is installed.

I removed my pedal assembly, tightened the nuts holding the Mazsport brace, greased the contact surfaces between the stock bracket and the Mazsport brace, and now there's no sound. Full story to follow.
