Ignore Team, he thinks by being condescending towards people that ask questions somehow makes him more important in a community where 98% see eachother as equals and want to help each other. It doesn't matter if it's a question that has been asked before or one that's never been asked or clarified.
If it were me, personally, in your situation, I might consider going with a slightly better clutch only if I considered FI a possibility in the future. I didn't read through the whole thread so I may have missed your stance on it, but I would be much more excited about changing out the stock flywheel to a lightened one that will considerably increase your acceleration. The stock clutch is pretty solid, the flywheel/counterweight is what I would be more concerned with.
Also, Charles Hill is an awesome guy to chat with. His love of the 8 is contagious.

Why bring me up and then also launch into your own openly condescending tirade, without even bothering to read the whole thread? The irony runs deep here ...
Regardless, you might find this an interesting read. It's not that significant with a while still remaining streetable. It feels good seat of the pants, but actual acceleration results are minimal since the gears you spend time accelerating in have the least affect.

Driving my unreliable rx8
Stock clutch is plenty for just about any rx8. If you're planning enough FI to need more clutch then you'll be blowing your engine before out get out of the garage.
The Light flywheel feels faster but it isn't really any faster. You'll save a lot more power by investing in some lighter wheels, since it will be 4 times the weight reduction. one for every wheel. Also the light flywheel makes it much more difficult to take off with. Then you throw a better clutch on it and it's almost impossible. It's real fun watching people drive my car With a Excedy Hyper single and light flywheel.

I have a heavy twin disc....and I don't "like" it...it is stiff and a PIA to push in.....but it holds the power without slipping
Stiff clutch, light flywheel, short throw...makes driving it a challenge
