Exclamation Loose steering - Noise in left/front suspension

Hi everyone...I need some help! I am having an issue with my suspension in the front and I've done many searches for a month now with no luck on the subject.

Basically its two issues: 1) I feel like my steering is very loose. It still handles great but its too easy to turn the steering wheel at high speeds. The car responds as it should but for some reason I feel like it should give more resistance when you are driving faster inorder to promote stability at high speeds.

2) This is more critical...After driving the car hard for more then 30 min I get an anoying sound comeing from the right front wheel well. Kinda like a creaking noise (a low pitch - rocking chair made out of metal) that happens intermitantly. I've takin the car back to the dealer for this issue with no resolution. The first time they indicated that they could not find anything (this is because you have to ride it hard for more than 30 min to replicate and I know they did not do this) but they replaced a motor mount and it appeared to get rid of the noise for a short while. Now its happening again and I dont know if its the strut, a bushing (which a mechanic friend said they looked ok), or another component of the suspension. For some reason I keep thinking its a bushing not being greased properly but I only have 26K miles on mine! I really dont care that the car as a few issues I actually enjoy working on the car if I have too and I have a few tools too. I just wish I knew what the issue was so I can fix it. The not knowing is whats anoying the **** out of me!

- On a side not I just ordered new suspension (shocks and springs) and I hope that will get rid of the noise as I suspect that it may also have to do with the shocks. Maybe installing the new suspension will also help woth the loosness. Who knows...I just like my bitch's tight! (Don't mean to offend any ladies in the group with that)

I would check the sway bar bushings...and lube them.....

And check the alignment...if the alignment is out it will feel loose at speed

How many miles are on it....I have about 60K on mine and the sway bushings are shot...Can't blame Mazda though.....a lot of track time...with heavy sways and high springrate...and a lot of bumpy streets at home. This makes for worn out bushings.

They are cheap to replace though....Greasable urethane ones are about $25

I only have 27K miles on mine and I don't blame Mazda in any way. I realized from day one that this car needs to be cared for and I was OK with that. I just hate not knowing what needs fixed.

Probably not this weekend (Drift competition in West Palm and 1/8th mile competition in Miami) but definatly next weekend.

Sending you a PM now with my info.

Note: I will try to bring a camera in case a potential DIY fix can be documented from this.
