All good points. I was thinking of finishing off the last few things i was going to do to eight and maybe giving it to my son for something to start his racing adventures with. I was wondering if anyone who also owned a 8 also own cars that they would consider a "stepup?" I only mentioned the g37x because it has a nice pull all across the rpm range, its awd, and still dosent cost tons of money. I realize anyone could say sure run out and buy a gtr its better then a 8. Haha. I could probably invest in being a better driver also. Apperently everyone else you talk to that races is a pro and the best there is. Hehe

A G37X is 325HP and 4,000lbs, I'd be surprised if it could beat the RX-8 at any performance test. Should have picked a different car to compare it too,

I've done a fair amount of NA mods on the 8 including the flywheel and 4.777 diff. I knowingly did it since it makes a significant difference, but no way in hell will it beat or keep up with any modern V6 sedan haha.

I agree having drove both at least in straight line performance there is no way my 8 will keep up with the newer 3.7. anyway I guess we are way off beginning topic.
