I bought my 8 several years ago and it had a partially swapped interior (just the seats). I've been wanting to finish out the swap with the door panels and steering wheel to match. I bought the door panels and steering wheel off of MrMazda7 on ebay even though some people had some issues with wrong parts, condition, etc. I thought that the seats I had were the black/chaparell color, but now I beginning to think differently because the parts I was shipped are more brown than the orange I currently have. Maybe the previous owner got it custom done? See attached photo for what I am talking about.

They could just be sun-faded...most "brown" rx8 interiors I see these days are more orange than brown.

My 05 had that leather color option. It was more like the door panels that your seats.... If not browner yet. But as far as I know, there was no other color option even close.

The only color options were black/grey cloth, black leather, black/red leather, black/brown leather, and tan alcantara in shinkas.

Those seats have to be aftermarket. They dont have the vinyl ribbing on the sides like mine, and I have the black/chaparell. I guess it could be the nemesis though.

Good point. Mine had ribbing too. Probably aftermarket.
