2012 Race Season
This season we will be running both the #07 and #08 GRID-1 Mazda RX8's in World Challenge Touring car again, for the full season, Drivers to be announced. Along with the RX8's we will also be adding Dodge Challengers to the team in both World Challenge and Grand Am.
Should be a good season.

We actually MAY be running our RX8 at Daytona, but it really depends on our Challenger effort to be honest. The guys who are supposed to be running the Challenger at Daytona in the Conti 200 are waiting on the final sponsor deals, and without them they are out, which leaves me with a car ready for Daytona and no funded drivers to pay for it. IF the Challenger deal sorts itself out , then I have drivers ready to go for the RX8 to run in ST class.
Irregardless of Daytona, we will be running both RX-8's in World Challenge Touring Car this year, will announce driver lineup as soon as we have contracts in place. We will also be running our Dodge Challengers in World Challenge GTS class as well as Continental Tire GS class this season, with the potential for the RX8's to make appearances at Indy and other select Grand-Am events.
Cheers!

The Michigan "WANKEL"
Excellent. More RX-8s in World Challenge and Grand-Am is a good thing. Like Al said, I hope Versus gets the schedule down in the guide. I missed a couple of races last year because of that.

Its not Versus anymore, its NBC Sports! I will try and remember to post up the listings of the TV broadcast but all the races will be webcast LIVE on world-challengetv.com and the schedule should be posted there. If you do for some reason miss out, the races will be available "on demand" at the website anytime after they air. That includes the TV broadcast, which will air approx 2-weeks after every event and once aired will be up on the world-challengetv.com website.
No idea on the Grand-Am TV coverage, which of course will be on SPEED, but I can update as I have more information.
Cheers!

Whelp, looks like no Daytona for us, the sponsorship cash just is not going to make it to us in time. Very disappointing but this is the business of racing. We are planning a test session with the Challenger and one of the RX-8's and several drivers in Florida the weekend after Daytona.
This puts our first race at St. Petersburg Florida with World Challenge at the end of March followed a week later with GRAND- AM at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.

World Challenge currently runs in Canada, and we have run in Puerto Rico in the past (wish we could do that again!) and allows pretty much any car manufactured worldwide to enter once homologated, not just USDM models.
I personally greatly prefer WC over any other current/similar option in North America. The cars run closely together and its just good racing. Look at for example last year at St Pete we rolled out with a relatively small budget, me and a single crew guy, a good driver, and led both races! Went out race one when Herbert hit us and in race two because of residual damage from that hit.
Grand-Am I am not as enthusiastic about, but we will see how the season progresses.

Racing is racing so the name is irrelevant but still... F1 is a world championship, it runs in pretty much any continent but a national event that just does a couple of outings outside the border, come on!
It's just like the superbowl... the winner is the "world champion" without playing even once with a team from outside the us
