Damn, I'm in NYC the weekend of the NASA event at the Autobahn on 7/21-22.

I could be down for 8th and 9th at Gingerman. And the Cobra event at Road America on 17th and 19th.

These were listed on the LAPS site so i went and tracked them down. not sure if they will be open to non-members of the respective clubs but since they are posted on the LAPS site I thought they probably will be.

http://caroc.com/events/BlackHawk_2007.html

http://audichicago.org/eventdetail.php?id=169

the cobra club website also had this one listed for the end of september:
http://www.nwshelbyclub.com/index.php?page_id=7

and it looks like for their event at Road America driving is on Friday and Sunday with an autocross on Saturday with each day of track being $175. You also have to pay the $20 membership fee if you are not a member to run any of their track events.

The Cobra remains closed to non-members until the last two weeks, from what i heard from a few guys at RA in march is that they never fill up so they always have room.

I e-mailed the Audi club to find out if the event is open to nonmembers and non Audi's. He said that it is open to non Audi owners but you do need to join the club ($44), he stated it was an insurance stipulation. I guess I'll update the original thread once he responds back with the event price.

The $44 is only for the club fee, the actual cost for the event won't be posted on their site until later this week according to the guy I e-mailed.

i really wish the F-body RA day wasn't in October. The weather is so unpredictable.

its only $20 but then it requires taking Friday off work - which means a lot more to those of us that are hourly - and spending another night up there in a hotel with Saturday being a dead day. Kinda sucks all around.

I guess one option would be to only drive on Sunday which is what I may do. I also like F-body cause it's a good crowd of guys.

As for signing up for these events I think that going forward I will wait to the last possible minute to see what the weather would be. It would suck to spend $300+ and have it rain.

I'll start a list just so we all know what's going on

Nasa-Autobahn July 21-22
1. Devildog1679 (100% sure)
2.
3

Nasa-RA August 4-5
1. Devildog1679 (100% sure)
2.
3.

Cobra Club-RA August 17-19
1. Devildog1679 (70% sure)
2.
3.

F-body-RA October 13-14
1. Devildog1679 (70% sure)
2.
3.

i think I am most interested in the first three NASA events.

July 21-22, Autobahn Country Club, Joliet IL. $319 for both days. South Track only
August 4-5, Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI. $319 for both days. (probably)
September 8-9, Gigerman, South Haven, MI. $319 for both days. (probably)

I would really like to run Road America when i know it is going to be warm out. I would also like to get some NASA time under my belt if there are future plans to to TT.

I think you may need to join Nasa to run their events. Also the price goes up by $50 the last Sunday before the event
