Kevin at Rotary Resurrection
#2
I took my car to Kevin earlier this year, and he pulled the engine, rebuilt it, and put it back in. He fabricated a new set of oil cooler lines, as the stock ones had rusted thru, and replaced the clutch and an O2 sensor that was setting off the CEL. The O2 sensor he had laying around, for the other parts he gave me a parts list and I ordered them and had them delivered to his place.
In terms of service I'm overall happy, other than some miscommunication on my part concerning his hours. He keeps late hours, and I just didn't read the info he sent me regarding it. After the rebuild, the car had issues idling and hot starting, but he assured me that compression would increase as the seals wear in.
I've since put over 1000 miles on the car, and it runs better than when I bought it with 86k miles on it. (104k on it now) It can hot start with no issues, idles better than it ever has, and got 21.5 mpg last fuel tank of mixed driving.
Also, he's the most affordable guy I was able to find with recommendations here.
Overall, would recommend.
