J1MO7 08-19-2008, 09:26 AM and even when i switch songs inbetween the time it takes for new song to play the bass jus blaresssss at full blast
DeViLbOi 08-19-2008, 11:19 AM Check your ground.
simplec 08-19-2008, 11:35 AM Check all of your connections (one is most likely loose)- especially your ground and power, or you may have two bare wires touching.
J1MO7 08-21-2008, 04:05 PM ok checked that and did nothing but i did make a new discovery......
even with my car stero powered off but battery on when i have the trunk open its fine but when i close the trunk bass line goes flat as loud as possible
any suggestions?
Socket7 08-21-2008, 05:56 PM how are you powering your remote input for the amp?
simplec 08-22-2008, 09:05 AM You could probably solve this problem by going to an auto install shop and having them hook it all up again for you. Does your amp turn off when the radio is off?
Socket7 08-22-2008, 01:27 PM I think he's using an auto sense for his remote turn on instead of tapping a real remote line. Theres a thread here about how that can cause a sustained bass tone to play when you close the trunk
J1MO7 08-24-2008, 08:55 PM circuit city installed
firebirdude 08-24-2008, 08:59 PM Circuit City warranties their labor for life. Provided you don't screw with the installation. So make it look like you never touched anything, and then take it into any Circuit City nationwide.
lurch519 08-24-2008, 09:01 PM loc connected to rear speakers, and signal sense is used on the jl amp instead of remote turn on. rear speakers move (even when no music is playing) sending signal to amp, amp amplifies signal, playing subs, subs move air, which moves rear speakers, rinse repeat. it has been discussed before, but its probably lost in the threads. its actually better to tap at the factory amp for front spks or at the radio, and use a turn on lead

But let them do the work. I'm telling ya, if you screw with it, their warranty is voided. You paid for it. Use it.
J1MO7 08-25-2008, 11:41 AM ok only 1 problem I don't have the paper work from circuit city, but they could look it up in computer right?

Yep. They're going to ask you for the telephone number you gave them when purchasing the installation. And if they STILL cant find it in their computer, they have copies of every work order on file. Just tell them approximately when the installation was done.
Jedi54 08-25-2008, 12:51 PM they can find you in the system, they should have all the records.
My first thought was a ground issue but Lurch brings up a good point
