I wouldn't mind that, the exhaust note on the new M3 is orgasmic.

I know this little section of road about (50 miles long) straight as an arrow with a slight uphill pitch that we can get permission to use as a "test track" for a one hour term - what do you think Jedi?

I'm in.
With the amount of radar detectors the SoCal caravan is bringing, we'll know the cops are there before they even see us.

No need I used the word permission. Nevada does allow for racing road closure just not sure I have enough time to get permission. Well even if I don't, your right there will be enough radar detectors, but this is not a street race nor do we advocate street racing

Well there are certain exceptions to that rule in Nevada. You can apply for a "street race" permit and get permission to have it. Not that hard to get but dates and locations open are a SOB. Other states have no sense of humor

Detectors, FRS/GPMRS/CB/HAM/MotoType2-Trunked radios, and the ultra low front profile radar signature of the RX8....

Once I knew this guy in a modded MX-3 that was crasy enough to also have installed a HERF device, active ECM of the K,Ka and 900-1000nm IR wavelengths, and his own trunked radio triangulation system to detect and approximate the position of anything operating any device using law enforcement frequencies.

Some people take things too far and simply do not know where to stop.

I was there but missed the actual race as I was entertaining some out of town friends. Saw the cars being loaded back on trailers. They were modded at SEMA and then transported to the strip for the race. They also did it the year before but used the Desert Inn overpass for the course. .

Beltronics RX65 I think, I'll have to check, I usually replace them after 3 years as the sensors degrade over time w heat/sun/use, and detectors improve.

So far, this is a nice list. People getting stuff that actually works.

1) Valentine
2) Beltronics
3) Escort

EDIT: Just checked, its a Beltronics Vector 995. Looks like its time to do the trade up thing again soon.

yeah, with our collection of Radar Detectors, there should be NO EXCUSES for getting pulled over.
Well...unless the cops decide to racially profile FastRX8 again!

Just found that I can add a laser shifter for under $300 and link it to my 995...

Maybe I'll hold off on the upgrade of the electronics package and add laser jamming instead.

Altho that might make me be the point man in the caravan. And I have not installed the K,Ka jammer yet.

Not that they exist, because that would be a felony according to the FCC.

While technically not illegal. It's probably a matter of time. They cant do anything about it, other than instead of being nice and warning you, reverting to instant maximum penalty under the law, and as long as no cameras are watching.

http://www.beltronics.com/store/prod...=16190&cat=253

Fortunately, the jammer is not visible, and thus, they would never know.

If you would like a great price on a room, please see Dominion's post #19 in this thread or contact Phil's 8, Jedi54 or Easy E_1. Dominion also points out that the temperature in June will be mildly hot so dress or lack there of, accordingly (especially all female attendees)

Friday June 19th, a caravan from California is being organized by Jedi. Please contact him for information.
