tint shops in irvine?

i've been going to this forum on and off for a few years now but finally decided to make an account

so i was wondering if anyone knew any good tint shops in irvine/orange county?

i finally decided to get my black 05 tinted, and i figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here

and can anyone recommend how dark to get my windows tinted? i was thinking maybe 35% or so, cuz i don't want cops bugging me

^i have 35 on the front two windows with 20 on the back two and the rear. If you go with a different tint front and rear, then the front's look less obvious

i went through campbell window tinting in Huntington Beach because they're close to me but all my friends go there because they do great work as well as using high quality tints at a reasonable price

i got proline tint which cost me 250 OTD and took about 2 hours.

http://www.campbelltint.com/ is their site if you want to call them or find out more info.

I used TNT mobile Tint for my car. This guy came HIGHLY recommended from a forum member and he did an EXCELLENT job on my car. I'm not sure if he'd drive all the way out to Irvine but shoot me a PM and I can send you his contact info.

I did 5% for all the back windows and 20% in the front.

I used Elite Auto Tint. Owned by Toby Larson, he is one of the local SCCA racers we run with, he is mobile and does a great job. 714-457-2761

I used BEST TINT in Stanton. A lot of the guys over at the Lexus forum used them so I gave him a shot. I went with 35% on the front and side windows and 20% on the back. They used metallic film and it ended up costing about $160.

I know of a tint shop in Long Beach that did my 8 for $130. He's the best I have used for 4 of the cars in my family.

if you've got the Mazda Nav system, I'd consider going with non-metallic tint. There have been some people here who have reported signal interferece with standard metallic tint. (I went with non-metallic for that reason)

You can also get ceramic tint instead of metallic if you have navigation. It's pricey though, expect to pay close to $400.

Check out Win Tech Tinting and ask for Salvador.
http://www.wintechtinting.com/automotive.htm

I've gone to this guy for over a decade now. That company has served dealerships and high profile clients.

Salvador has worked with Kobe & Shaq, well at least when they were still playing for the lakers.

I'm picky when it comes to tint.. bubbles, dust particles, you name it.

Salvador never questioned it, he will redo the tint until you're satisfied with the job. The station is in Costa Mesa, underground parking to keep the dust to a min.

I'm in the process of getting a quote from them again for my new 8.

let us know how the quote comes out, I'm sure other members would appreciate it. Do you have Nav in the 8? If so, get a quote for non-metallic as well.

Campbell is top notch and they've done all the cars in my family. I had them do my H3 with ceramic tints and I must say it is the utmost quality!
