Streets of Willow April 9th, $145

Who wants to put your skills and wheels to the test? ACRA is puting on a HPDE open track event at the Streets of Willow on April 9th for only $145. This group is blast to run with and they have great instructors and track education class time.

Despite the club's name, this event is open to all makes and models.

Check it out here.

To get a feel for the track before going check out this video.

The direction of the track is still TBD, but I will post it here once I find out.

Also, check with your insurance company about coverage with High Performance Driver's Education courses. Mine covers HPDEs as long as there isn't any timing.

This is a low speed course with plenty of run-off so I wouldn't sweat it to much.

What insurance company are you with? I checked with Allstate and they won't cover.

I used driving school when I talked to them. Try that rather than High Performance.

Yes, on a track.
Recently someone backed into my parked 8 and I went to an All-state office for adjustment. While sitting there I talked about the HPDEs to the adjuster. There were four agents in the office and one of them opened his desk and pulled out his Allstate bible. I told another agent that I spoke to my agent and got the green light. As I muttered the words "As long as it was not a timed event" the agent with the bible confirmed it with "I had to look that up" since he also thought I was misinformed.

Two days to go and they only have 17 people signed up. This means lots of open track. LAST CHANCE. They are extending the $145 early bird price up to the event. You just need to let them know you are coming.

TIME FOR A SICK DAY! ;-)
