Hey guys I need some confirmation on something regarding the RB Revi intake for those of you who remember how it works. When my car was fixed and a new intake installed the body shop really half assed it.

My question - Is the main cone filter secured to the outside of the box assembly with the big blue ring that is attached with the 10mm bolts. Right now the entire filter is just chilling inside the box.

no the rubber part of the cone is suppose to be outside to seal the edges and the blue ring is suppose to go on top of that....

that's what I thought, so the very edge of the cone is outside the box

i hope it's the reason why my idle is so bad. Also they didn't put a screen in the tube. Roger does my airbox have another screen in it still?

if you don't have a screen, that will DEFINITELY mess up your idle.

 

Rev: have you checked the screws that hold your MAF in place??


i know it sounds kinda dumb but me, apocolypse and j03 have all run into an issue with the screws that hold the maf inplace. I'm probably going to blame it on engine vibration that causes it but at some point the screw comes out and the maf gets loose thus causing idle issues and random stalling.

I will check that before I leave Atilla, I removed the maf last night when I was inspecting everything and may not have tightened it down enough

 

no problem matt yeah my idle gets funky cuz sometimes the sucking pressure pulls the cone in cus i dont have the blue ring to hold it in place it and then mine doesnt have a screen either....
