I agree Vlaze WRX's have never been particularly pleasant to the eye, but the new ones are just bad especially this new 4 door

I think it looks fine, nothing abnormally atrocious, looks like STI

Notice the passenger seat is lower than the drivers. Just like a rally car.

 

Um....I guess I dun get the rant....WRX's have always been 4-door for the most part.

My brother owned an '05 WRX before he got in a relationship....and let the woman keep her G35 while he bought the Pathfinder, boy had his **** backwards.

Anyhow, his didn't have the stupid big wing on the rear and was preppy, I liked it actually.

Okay Al I'll give you that one but why must it be so ugly and I haven't heard they are going back down to 2.0L so they can't even compete in WRC (not that they would I haven't heard any rumours)

Hm....I'm pretty sure hatchback was just another option, 4-door was always offered last I checked. Maybe I'm wrong.

 

The STI was only offered in 5 door, but you are correct they did 4 and 5 door WRX's

anyways forget I brought it up RX8 > Subaru etc etc

I agree, the new suburu's aren't that horrible. The styling is staying true to it's roots at least. Not like honda where it's a new look w/every season...

I do like those sti wagons tho. Would be a toss up between the sti wagon n' the evo x if i ever wanted something awd n' affordable

 

I don't like the look of the hatchback, blegh! but the 4 door looks better to me...^_^ but that's just my crazy east coast, girly ways!

 

morning guys, man the new episode of southpark last night was pretty funny

 

If I ever got a WRX, the only color unlike the RX8 I feel that looks good is black.

Blue is overplayed and for the small size of that car looks like **** IMO. I see a guy driving on the road during summer time with one and the extra-ghey oversized wing on the rear, looks like ***...wait *** is good....looks like a step-mother's oversized, dimple infested, wart proned ***.

 

sephy: how do you not like the 5 door!? the hatchback is sexier imo than the 4 door!

'nilla, I agree SOME version of the hatchback look better than the 4-door. I considered them before the 8 when i got it. My bro wants to get another sporty feel car again but needs something fitting since he has 1 kid and another on the way. He was considering the MS3 but I'm steering him towards Subi's hatchback since the MS3 is fail wheel drive and IMO the Subi hatchback looks better.

 

Haha I don't really like the look of most hatchbacks, make me think of wagons, too much junk in the trunk imo, I like compact looking vehicles and such

The older Subi hatchbacks indeed look like wagons, but the mid-late 2000's ones do not IMO.

I know, because my mother owned a freaking wagon most of our child hood and teen years. That and I rode with a college buddy who owned a blue typical WRX Hatchback in the early 2000's. The latest ones look way better. Have a guy at work here that has one, I'm guessing 2008, looks good.

 

Have to say, I have never really liked any hatchbacks. There may be one or two exceptions, but nothing comes to mind

 

I know what one of your exceptions are = GTI

'laze: yeah, compared to the mz3, i'd get the subie wagon for sure. I've seen a couple really nice one's in the super autobacs jdm thread n' i was really considering it if i ever got outta the 8 community. They have really good out of the box speed and handling. True the styling's aren't one of a sports car but you can't beat the functionality of it.

 

the old R32s are pretty hawt

 

hatchabacks are ugly, I"ve never liked them.
subbie is doing what subbie does: making ugly cars.
