Just an fyi form someone whos been around the race scene for a longgggg time they run the tires they get sponsored with...

Thats how falken got so big. they were **** tire and cheap. so drifters loved it then it became a staple for years. you can drift on sunnys and be fine.

My personal belief is everything is **** minus r compounds if your tracking.. for DD i'd get decent tires with low road noise levels. it doesn't really matter. I personally go for the cheap tires with good grip general UHP's are my favorite.

if you want to throw the money down for t1r's they are quiet and last long. I like general uhp's becuase they are grippy and cheap but make decent noise. your call boss.

Whatever you do don't buy a tire just becuase some racing team uses them.. racing teams use whatever free or discounted ***** they can get their hands on. Trust me...

Do people actually buy tires just because a certain race team uses them? That's pretty lame because what THEY use them for and what your average person uses them for are completely different.

There are a few things in life I don't go cheap on and tires are one of them but if you can find an inexpensive tire that does the trick then it's a win-win. For me and the RX-8, it's T1R's and my old set of Kuhmo MX's were also amazing. (just don't last very long on the street)

 

I don't ever plan to track my car but get some tires with nice grip last a long time and low road noise. That's all I really want my stockies are uber loud and it's annoying on the freeway trying talk over it. I'm not all into the uber aggessive looking tires but a middle ground like the falken 452 .

my mom chose #1 she really likes em,
my dad chose the ones im leaning more toward whick are #3 so im basically set im getting my lugs from roger next week yay :]

suprisingly my 452s take heat better than my friends azenis, he had to pull over mid gmr run to let his tires cool a bit so sometimes less is more lol

im only getting wheels my existing tires are almost new and fit so well go from there, well i will most likely pm rishie and see whats up zedi, or if your contact where you got your advans would be nice.

i hated the stockies so i ran gmr almost daily and wore em out from new to dead in 8 months lol

mike: sorry man but my wheel guy probably doesn't carry any of those. He has...(how do we say it)....very expensive and exclusive taste so that's all he deals in.

This is a guy whose daily driver is a decked out GT-R because he usually only drives the Lambo on the weekends.

 

imma need new brake pads come sumeer my dad and me just checked em, hes doing is maintnance and checked mine just to know so imma be saving for slotted rotors, hawk ceramics and some better brake fluid

I only got about 18k out of my stockers. Then again, there were quite a few SB cruises and Malibu runs in there.

I got my car used with 92miles on the odo. I have about 26k.... I so scared when it rains I'm always in the righthand most lane. I told my rents I need new tires but there like your tires should be good till 40k. I just lol'd at them and said yeah if I had good tires. These ones are known to go out quick. They don't want to listen to me so I have to get my tires on my own.... I'm broke cuz my payments are a bitch! Lol I know I need new ones asap.

 

haha 40k for tires, this isnt a passenger car lol, i remember when i needed new tires my dads like wtf them he loos at the threadwear rating, ohh no wonder 140 thats damn low, then i went got my 452s at americas tire with 300 wear should last me a while :]

Okay now I'm just furious! I call up the shop to see the status of my car and the guys all, let me go check on it. So he goes out and he tells me I should have it ready for you today before we close but let me check. Gets to the car and tells me, oh I don't think its going to be ready today cuz it still needs to be buffed out. How long does it take to buff a car! This is fucken bullshit!!! Then he tells me its not going to be ready till Monday! Omfg!!! So i tell him why tell me its going to be done friday and I call up today and now its Monday? I told him I need my car and ive been more then patient. I need my car for the weekend. So he tells me if we dont finish today I'll have it done for you tomorrow. I'm going to blow a fucken fuse!! I swear I'm going to flip out!
