SoCal Lounge II
Neither am I, but I can understand it. The other day I was low on gas, the light had been on for a while, and both sides of the street were flooded. I'm pretty low w/ cai and knew there was quite literally no way I'd make it through without damaging something - I have to go slow enough up those driveways in the dry weather! I ended up having to cross my fingers that I'd make it to the next closest station, wow it was a close one.
I think some are considering this year to be a part of the el nino pattern as well. I haven't seen it rain as hard as it did Tuesday in quite some time!
back in 04 i drove my 97accord with h22 cai through a parking lot the water was up to my headlights. i was young and had no idea how a motor works. flooded the motor and kept cranking it i ended up blowing a two inch hole in my block.
Ah, that sucks! I don't think you would have that type of problem with a rotary but it certainly would not be good!
lol, I'm not going to make a short ram out of my MS intake. I don't even think there is room to, if anything, I should be using the water resistant sock :P that I can't seem to find D:

CEL in that situation is for incorrect MAF readings +/- misfires. Keep RPM's low enough, let MAF dry out before pushing the car hard, and voila - no real problems. Worst that can develop is a fried MAF that leads to a, more likely than not, fried cat.
