I just heard that song called "Beemer, Benz or Bentley" on the radio and damn near threw up on myself.
I haven't been this disgusted with mainstream hip hop since "Grillz" by Nelly

The beat is not phat. It sucks. A teenager with a beat machine could pull off a better beat if he were tone deaf and taking a ****.
On a side note; that's another thing i hate about mainstream hip hop. People come up with a catchy hook or a catchy beat n' suddenly they're a hit regardless of the content of the song or overall talent. This is probably why soulja boy n' new boyz are big in the mainstream.

If you take away the subject of hoe's, booze, chrome rims, herb, gettin' crunk, guns and excessive amounts of money about 60-80% of mainstream hiphop would probably drop off the face of the planet and never come back - and if you take the percentage of them who couldn't rap if their life depended on it then that percentage would probably be closer to 80-95%. I mean there are hip hop artists that do talk about it from time to time but it's not what limits them in ability. Rappers that have done this w/and w/out these topics can be named off the top of my head - Black Thought, Mos Def, Talib Qweli, Murs, DeLa Soul, The Fugees, Del etc but none of them get mainstream credit for it.
gahh...
oh wellz. I guess in this time and era, we're just going to continue to promote mediocrity
