Red Forks: Being sticky means that the thread is important... ... and that it has a lot of important information in it, for example, like my original post where there's a very nice compilation of information.

Being stickied also helps because the thread stays on the very top of the West Section and you don't have to look for the thread when it's down in the middle, bottom, or on the next page of the West Section.
