And avoiding sexual comments when talking about getting a nut off is nearly impossible anyway. Might as well introduce nipples!
Even once they break free, I am going all out with as much force as I can just to keep them rotating.
Banging on the mounting plate, I hear marbles rattling inside the cat, so yeah, I am positive it is toasted.
And Easy, you were right. Oil made the impact wrench go around. The hose fitting at the tank is leaking air, so hard to keep pressure, but you da man
The way I see it, if the cat isn't toasted, I still get to feel a midpipe for a week.
And it's the first time I have ever used/played with an impact set, so I know I am probably still doing something wrong with it. It doesn't have enough air pressure going to the wrench to break the nut (45ftlb wrench at 90psi), the leak is keeping the PSI closer to 80, so it's probably the culprit here.
at least I can still muscle it between physical therapy sessions.

ya cuz im thinking about keep sum aero package ones that i have instead but then again i wanted to sell the ms replica side sills but no buyers... so now im reconsidering just using the ms ones n just painting them myyself....grr i hate the first time you switch out your cat...i only got that done cuz i had alota adrenaline from being pissed from the 3 bolts melted on the cat=/
yeah, tell me about it!
the crazy thing is I didn't really notice a loss of power, it would still pull hard all the way to redline but I'd here this pinging / clanking noise. It wasn't very obvious, you had to be listening for it.
I sent the pipe back to RP, they cut out the bad cat, and welded in a new unit. All is well again.

back inside for another *** warming session. My broken ratchet had "locked", so not a ratchet any more, and used that for the previous bolt, but then on this bolt the internals broke the rest of the way so it spins freely and it clearly no longer seated in the housing at the end of the handle.
Switching to my only other ratchet, but guessing I will probably break that one too.
If a hardware store was open, I'd go get a breaker bar... Or something to stop the air leak in the hose fitting for the impact wrench.
