At this point I just want that bolt off, and having the dealership do it might avoid a few questions when they go to replace the cat. If they don't have it in stock, then the loaned midpipe goes on for the trip
Can't take too long, so I'm probably getting a cut-off torch while I am at Lowes as a backup to slice the bolt off. Can't wait too long to get started on the trip.

...........and it's flooded. The manual deflood procedure isn't correcting it, pulling the fuel pump fuse while cranking method isn't starting it, had my wife pull start my 8 with her 5, wouldn't fire, though had ~500rpm while the clutch was engaged. Pulled the plugs, wet, put them back in, wouldn't fire.
F***
I really don't want to have it towed to a dealer, cause it means I am definitely not going, but then again, it's looking that way anyway now.

Alright, thanks to Alfie's deflooding thread, I got it deflooded, down to a garage around the corner, the guy charged me $20 to put it on a lift, break the nut free in less than 2 seconds, knock the bolts out, and put the replacement botls in and snug them down.
Currently waiting for stuff to cool off so I get hit in the face with a warm cat instead of a burning hot one that is hissing like crazy from the moisture in the air. 3.5 hrs late for leaving, and counting, but it's looking good.

ITS OFF!!!!!
Holy hell that evil thing is off, and confirmed, it is roasted and toasted. I gather that there is supposed to be a honeycome somewhat near the top (header side), well, underneath all the chunks of honeycomb laying at the far end, I can see a damaged honeycomb at the bottom end of the cat, away from the header. So I think I am missing 1 or 2
Midpipe going on now.

So since my boss is selling the shop soon were getting rid of all the tires and some of the wheels that are in the shop. A lot of the tires are not sizes for the rx8 but if you guys got any other cars (SUV's or jusy daily driven cars) were gonna sell em cheap.
So much work to do posting crap its gonna be a long day.
