hey guys im in need of desperate help, im installing an exotic speed midpipe and now the pipe is on but there is a good inch or two gap between the midpipe and the exhaust towards the rear of the car... the 2 springs between seem to just be like keeping the two apart

is that normal?
it seems like most the smog would escape before it gets to the exhaust.....

did i do something wrong? or am i just supposed to not use the springs or???? please help asap....=(going insane here

did you put the springs between both flages cause if you did it wont close the gap, it goes after both flanges and when you tighten it the gap gets smaller, but it will not fully close thats what the donut gasket is for it seals it up
