I just dread the freaking day they start charging us for every mile we drive. I heard yesterday that Hawaii was going to start doing it.

when you wash your car at the self service places. ( this might be a stupid Question) when do you put the spray wax on . before final rinse . before spot free rinse. or you leave it on and dry it off.

^+1 - i try not to go unless it's necessary (like a quick wash before a meet)
reason: The scrub brush they have is harsh on the paint and if you already have rock chips somewhere - the brush may make them worse
A. No. Meguires FTW! Mothers FTW as well
haven't really tried Eagle one tho - i have tried the tire shine however and didn't like it

I never use the self car washes and IF I do I'll take my own wash mit, towels, and soap.
The soap they use at those is not PH balanced, it's the equivelant of dish washing soap (no joke) so as to make it tougher on dirt to leave your car clean. The HUGE problem with that is that the soap will eat right through any wax / polish you have.
NEVER, ever EVER EVER use the scrub brush they have. Just watch the retard in front of you, they'll scrub the paint, then they'll scrub their wheels with the same brush. Then guess who gets to use that 'clean' brush next?
