I know that front plates make the 8 look bad, but I think I'll have mine on for this run. I just got a ticket last month for no front plates in the LAX area..$25 bucks They're out to make some revenue.

I've never had mine on. I've been pulled over several times and always been let go with a warning. For the most part they are not douches as long as you dont look like a thug or *******. Which is why you never see vettes or mercedes or bmws with no front plates getting tickets for that either.

the shop might have trouble mounting the tire, but they should fit just fine. heh just watch them as they use the machine...its hilarious...

if you want, ill go with you...i usually tell them that they are NOT allowed to remove or reinstall the lugs. you have your key and torque wrench and you will have to do it to prevent damage.

that you require them to allow you to do it, else you'll find another shop.

its all in how you talk to em. i can get them to do just about anything. and if you have another car there, it reinforces the argument, since they dont want to be known as the douches that refused.

I know this shop that can hook me up and i don't want to get on bad terms with them as they may yield some benefits down the road so i guess we'll pick another shop. I just wanted to be sure to get the ok from you before trying to mount the tires on another set of wheels - even tho i'll be buying them off of you, i figured i'd ask the original owner heh

there's a shop down the street from my place on bake. i'll swing by in about an hour and get you clearance to get the job done w the estimate.

i convinced the lube place to flush my trans and diff and put in the oil that i provide, and not use their craptacular one. the manager lets me use the shop as my lube facility however i want. all you have to do is get me to talk to people, and i can make miracles happen.

yeah i still gotta get around to that whole charging you thing...eventually...haa

 

especially when they are dark stock wheels....
