I've got a Dell Inspiron E1705. I just need a power converter so I can run off my car all day. If anyone's got one lying around, I'd really appreciate it. (don't feel like going to Best Buy to buy something I'll only use for one day)

maybe steve from r&d dyno owuldn't mind you having it plugged in to one of their outlets. That shouldn't be a problem. Maybe bring an extension chord with a surge protector/ power strip...infact i'll bring the power strip just bring a an extension chord.

Yeah, forgot that I had to remove the strut bar when I first went to tug on the damn filter. Took the strut bar off, then realized my gorunding kit wiring was in the way as well...had to take that off, well, partially. Then, realized, for some reason, the filter was not outside of the box like it was supposed to be....over the course of driving (most likely from autocross), the filter had fallen inside the box. I had to use some screw drivers and alot of force to squeeze the filter out. The filter outlet is actually wider than the opening.

Upon inspecting the box, I also notice that one of the bolts had backed out from the blue ring....I lost another when trying to reassemble things....it was very frustrating.

 

you had to take the strut bar off???? Wow, I managed to pull mine out, turn it sideways and sqeeeeeze it out with the bar still in place. Damn Keith, that sounds like a lot of work!

 

very interesting to see what kind of numbers everyone comes up with since i'm not doing anything to mine till after. which means i'll still keep using the same gas, cheap stuff and no cleaning of any parts.... someone most sacrafice so we can see the real difference...

9:00 - Peter gets to dyno

11:10 - Newcastle
11:30 - Murix
11:45 - Rotary Rasp

BREAK for LUNCH. We're thinking of ordering pizzas. Bring some $$$

The first 2 cars will take slightly longer because they'll need to familiarze themselves with the RX-8's. After that, it should be 10-15 minutes for most of the cars.
