While I know some of you guys are slow enough you would fit in, it is time for the ladies school: http://solo2.com/eventpage.asp?eid={08D46CCB-F5C0-4533-8A32-65BA7FD9EFD8}

This may not happen unless more girls sign up, right now there are only 3.

p.s. if any of the RX8 girls want to come out Jennifer will work with them.

I think that would be a great opportunity for the girls...but even if they came, that makes it 6....they won't run an event if only 6 show. Would make for a quick day of 18 runs....one run group...that is, if hubbys and significant others stand out there picking up the cones.

Need me to come and give you pointers?

Be sure to ask Kenny to show you the AMCI course. If I'm bored I may show up to get some passenger rides...

well I got another sponsor. no cash from this one, just products. (AMSOIL) I just picked up $150 worth of lubes.... (resisting kinky sex jokes) to bad there is no cash also. would have been nice to apply to the tire bill.

also going to get some dyno time. we are going to dyno the car to see what it is with dinosaur oil in the engine and the royal purple in the tranny and diff. then after replacing all fluids and replacing the air filter, we will re dyno and see what H.P. gains (if any) are made. the good and bad part is we will be comparing against royal purple that is already in the car. in a way it would have been nice to see what the differance is against the stock stuff, but in a way nice to compare against Royal Purple.

Kinda cool, I have been curious what the H.P. is. not that I expect anything special, just curious what the dyno says with the flywheel, pulleys and intake. to bad I never got a before pull.

I am curious to see if all the Amsoil stuff does pull higher numbers like they claim.

You should come by and get your tires.

Kenny keeps trying to get me to come out and play with him at work. I know he has an RX8 out there, we could do some wheel to wheel.

Free products and service is money in your pocket. It is money you don't have to spend out of your pocket for fluids or dyno time. Thats how it starts, my first deals were free tire mounting and alignments, it still saved me a lot of cash that I used for other stuff I needed.

oh dont get me wrong... I am not upset about. It will be nice to run full synthetics for free. and a decent discount on the other two daily drivers. also going to enjoy the dyno time. I am just sayin that cash is nice to.

babo, where are you going on the 11th?

you can do that track day this sunday at El Toro. ULLOOSE is going. you can either do the practice, or at least get some passenger seat time with some other drivers.

are you going to come race on teh 26th with us all at Fontana?

El toro is not a track day, just a autox practice.

babo you should not go near a road course till you have done a few autox events. If you spin out or loose it at an autox worst case you hit a cone. You loose it on the road course you shop for a new car.

If you go to solo2.com and send them an email they will add you to the list, then just pay when you get there.

Or show up Sun and you can go for a ride with me.

You might go to willow and have no problems. On the other hand you may be way over your head and go off. Then there is the other guy... The one with a very fast car and no clue that might take you out because he thought he had the turn. If you have zero track time under your belt it is much safer to do a few autox events to learn how to control the car at low speed.

Babo...two things.

1) Your mods would place you in BSP or STU. BSP will allow you the option of going to R-compound tires, while STU you will be running on "stock"/street tires against the Subarus. I would recommend running with the rest of us in BSP...even though you won't have the same tires as us. Still will be more fun racing with other 8's than a bunch of 20-25 Subarus.

2) You are allowed to have a passenger, or ride as passenger on practice days only...not on a championship day. Go to El Toro and get some pointers and ride alongs with Ullose of MP5...they are great guys and they were the ones that got the rest of us excited and involved. Enjoy your Sunday and let us know how things go.

Hmm, are there even spots open for Sunday? I was trying to give the car some rest from autox, but if Ken is gonna let us play on their course I would be very tempted to come out and play.

I don't think Ken is taking anyone out on the "test track" it is just a regular practice day.

Far as I know there are spots left. Come kill off your old tires and pick up the new ones on the way home.

Well, he did let a few us back there to their autox course after a regular practice day last time... that wasn't the "3 mile road course" I've heard about though.

ooooh, a three mile course at El Toro...tell us more. This is a road course...or a ginormous auto x course.....could you imagine....wow, that would be awsome.

I've used my tripometer on some of our autox courses, and they tend to be between 8 and 9 tenth of a mile. a 3 mile course would be unbelievably fun.

thanks for posting....got bored a 1:28 into the video...what a boring track. Doesn't look like they did anything other than setting up cones and a white line on the airstrip. Guess I'm not missing anything.

Cool, looks like Gary was working on his drifting skillz. I think it looks pretty fun Keith. Supposed to be a higher speed road course style setup and they are limited by the runways and taxiways. They also have a long autox course that is much more technical (the one I saw last time I was there).

Just would have liked to see some elevation changes....I mean I wasn't expecting a Laguna Seca....but at least some prep into making the course interesting visually.

I agree that it would be fun to be allowed, legally, to push the car to it's limits....we aren't quite able to do high speed manuvers in autocross.
