I think I already know whay Isly's responce will be.

what would you guys do? I now live about 45 minutes or so away from the speedway (maybe 35 ~40 miles away) would you bring the set of wheels in a swap a tthe track or just drive there on them (with the 1/8 tow out and the -2 + degrees camber.)

I agree. I really want one of the Jasons to get in my car and tell me what they think. there is no doubt my car does not drive as "safe" as your car. (although I was a little shocked at the last event. It seemed a little better, but then again that could have been me being "carefull")

I would suggest driving over to my house, and switch tires there...this way, you won't have to leave your axis around, and you'll have a better place to switch out tires...just a thought.

no way I can catch up to you with only 3 events left...oh well, maybe next year

Given that the Evo and Supras have not been showing up, Rick and Mischelle should be able to move up into the trophy contention.

Way to go Erica....3rd place.

Yep you know... I am 62 miles each way to CS and I will be driving up on them. That drive wont even clean the tire turds off that we pick up.

Use to drive my Corvette 3 hours each way to events with -2.5 camber and a 1/4" of toe.

You change them in the garage and you can relax when you are at the event.

Casey, I was looking at the Solo2 site and looking at overall (PAX) points. You got in the top 50 (45th place in PAX), I'm at 109 and Erica is at 121. I probably would be in the top 100 if I was able to pull over my points from STU, maybe I can still break into the top 100 by the end of the year?

I know this all means nothing in real life, but it is fun

yeah, I think I will just change them in the garage. I really do not want to bring the truck with me.

Keith, there is really no way you could catch me. the 3 race head start really locked it up for me. (of course the one race you got back helped you, but not enough.) next year will be much more fair for you.

and yes, Michelle could still move up and trophy.

I think you need like 9 events just to qualify for year-end points anyways...

Hey, if one of you BSP guys can have your car ready by 4th heat I would love to drive it. I can't promise I will have anything useful to tell you about the setup... but I sure would like not having to haul and change my tires. I will hook up your entry fees.

I'm also thinking about doing the SCNAX cup next weekend so I need as much tire as I can get for that (24 runs).

Wheels f/s

Posting this here first because I would rather not ship and maybe a local can use them:

2005 RX8 OE wheels, 18"X8" 50mm offset. No curb rash at all, a few paint chips and a couple of scratches from dismounting tires but other than that in great shape. No tire pressure sensors. $450.00 Prefer local buyer as I hate to ship wheels but will ship at buyers expenses including any needed packing material.

Cesar is going to borrow my wheels for SM tomorrow....then I have to switch them over to my car for BSP....there would just be too much going on to have those tires on my car for PAX as well...too many switches. Maybe next time.

here are my times boys...and, this is knowing that I definately had more time out there. Pushed at the end...and did the third slalom horribly. I LOVE these wheels and tires. Thought I would do horrible because I normally am not proficient at slaloms, but was very happy with my performance.

66.451
64.994
63.988

Here's some pics from today

posted this on the san berdo meet in the RX7 forum.

it just wasnt my day. First run was quick with the feeling of spinning all over the place.
second run was much faster, still loose though. overall a fair run.
the third run was blazin fast untill I made a typical rooky mistake that I know better. I went into a turn a little to hot. the car started a push and what do I do???? I turn the wheel even more and make it even worse! when I brought the wheel back to streight, the car caught and shot hard to the right causing me to miss part of the slolom and DNF the run.

best run was #2 with a 65.5xx and was good enough for 2nd place.

(keith in the black RX-8 planked me with a 63.998)

the last few runs I have done, I have been rather unhappy with the car. it has been feeling way loose. I marked the tires to guage roll over, and the rear is not even CLOSE to rolling over to the outside edge of the tire. I really need to take some of the camber out of the rear. I just have way to much. this will be done by the next race.

___________________________________________

the rear tires were so far from the outside edge, they never even touched the marks that we made to guage the rollover. tire preshure was 32 in the rear. should have droped more in the rear.... all well.

shoudl I take some of the camber out of the rear, or should I run like 25 psi in the rear?

That is not to much camber that is to much air. Start going down 2-3 psi per run to get it where you need to be.
