Having everyone run in the same run group was fun, but I do have to admit that I lose track of how everyone is doing. IT is kinda nice that you guys run in Pax beofre us, so we have an idea of what times we should be shooting for....gives us a goal and lets us know how well we are doing....the closer we get to your times. Pax is good for you guys. Is Rick coming out?

do you have to course work as well? Wow, that would be a long work group. I'm sure they don't have several classes running at once...probably focus on each one at a time.

Natl event are run better than a local event. Most run groups at natls are about 90 minutes with 50 or so cars. When you register you can ask to work a certain job, at natls you can even work different days than you run if you want. I worked before natls doing admin stuff for the event, two emails , and did not have to work when I got there. Jennifer did tech on Monday so she did not have to work the days we ran.

I'll probably run PAX in the morning. I went to the PCA-OCR event at Hollywood Park on October 1 running a different alignment--1/16 toe out in front and 0 toe in the rear--found a little oversteer. 15 runs on gravel took a toll on the tires, but it was plenty fun.

it'll be good to see you out there again Rick...are you coming with a co-driver? Reason I ask, is Cesaralaniz is looking at coming out this event and was thinking of running Pax ("renting" my tires)...then swapping them back on my car for BSP later in the day. It may be easier if he just co-drive with you if that is something you would be willing to do.??

He wants to get into the Mazdaspeed support program and needs one more race before he applies.

Alex Wan usually co-drives the car. I owe him a couple of years of co-drives since I co-drove his ASP/SM2 RX-7 for about the same period. If he doesn't show Cesar is welcome to co-drive.

They are slow on the emails.... If you send in your stuff and just call a week or so later you can get your team number.

Mazdaspeed......EXHAUST....get it. If you don't really want it, I'm still willing to trade straight up for the Racing Beat exhaust.

looks like Cesar is going to run Pax this weekend. He asked if he could rent my tires so that he could get his second event in.

Pax runs fourth, works second.

Cesar, tech and course opens at 7:00am.

Wouldn't it be easier if he just drove your car? Or are you too lazy to get there early?

not that I dont want him on the race tires. but you know he does not HAVE to have the race tires to get a second result. unless of course he wants to see what it is like on the big meats.... then I understand.

woot woot!

it is right down the street, so it is not like it is a hardship on me...but it seems that he is concerned about the difference in handling between mine and his. He drove mine three times on a practice day with the 245's. He wants to see how his car handles the 285's...given that he has much more seat time in his car than mine. I guess it is a comfort thing.

But, yes, it would be easier if he drove my car in PAX, and Erica and I could co-drive it during BSP.

Keith has Erica already as a co driver.... Cesar would have to run a differant class. still would be easier though. I see what your sayin. beats switching tires all around.

Yeah, the seat time thing kinda goes out the window when you put the 285s on. The car will drive a lot different anyways. He could drive my car if he wants to see what 75 run tires feel like.

I'll leave it up to him to decide. He has plenty of options...(1) drive his own car with his current setup. This way he wouldn't have to switch tires and he could drive in BSP with us. (2) co-drive with any number of people, (3) drive my car in PAX, (4) drive his car with my tires in PAX...as there would be no way for him to race in BSP with us given there is no time to switch tires during a heat.

To me, if he just wanted the second event thing, he should drive his own car. But there is a chance that this is a test run for him on 285's. Maybe he'll make the leap to a second set of wheels and race tires and compete....don't know.

Just to throw some more options out there... I'd be happy to drive your car as well.

If Cesar is taking my wheels for PAX, there would be no way to accomplish it for this event. It would be nice to have some feedback on the feel of the car from people who have driven a lot of 8's and have a lot of seat time.
