At least she had an excuse.

I know I shouldn't be upset being my first Natls and all... just felt like I didn't represent what I could really do. Maybe it's the stupid 7am Thurs flight and working the whole day afterwards that is still pissing me off.

Just back from Natls and we have way to many tires lying around the garage.... So come and get them, one free set of 245-35-18 Kumho V710s. I think they are around 90-100 runs old, so not competitive tires anymore but great for practice or a school.

Tires are gone.

Yes they will. I have seen a 245-35-18 V710 on everything from 18X7.5 to 18X9.

Lesper, why would you want a set of R-compounds with over 90 runs on them? And what would you be putting them on?

as anyone on this thread would advise....go out to some events with your stock potenzas and get some time in....then think about more upgrades. The practive events are the best chance you'll have for stress free seat time....you'll definately want to burn up stock tires, rather than r-compounds at a practice day. Cesar has gone to five or six practices now...and his street tire times are very competitive. If he ever got up the urge to by r-compounds and compete...he would be right up there with everyone else.

Not to inflate his ego, but imagine if he actually got the Enkies and the big ol fatty tires. Wow.....

I think the 245's made me three seconds quicker than my Potenza times.
The 285's gave me another second easily.

I have so much confidence driving the car now...cause I know the car is setup as good as it will be for a daily driver. Now, it is just all on improving my driving skills, prereading the course better on course walk, and using my brake correctly for turns.

If I remember correctly, Cesar was on the SPTs. That's a pretty decent performance tire that I imagine would do a lot better than the Potenzas. He should come out and run with the big boys, who cares if he gets whooped...

San Diego event this Saturday if you guys want practice.

Jason, you'll have to let me know the next time the Datsun group is in charge of the event...I have solo bucks to redeem next time they are in charge.

Woot woot.... Just got the hook up for the ALMS/WC race at Mazda Raceway. Kumho asked Jennifer to be a flag girl for the Kumho/BK LMP2 car but there was no love for me. So I called my good buddies at Mazda and asked them if there was any love for the BS champ and they got me a weekend pass.

You cheap bastard, it's only like $45.

I went last year and had a lot of fun. That's sweet that Jen is a flag girl, maybe she'll get on TV when they interview the drivers. Was thinking about going again, hmm...

So will you be at the next RX8 cup on the 15th?

what is involved in being a flag girl...and was that something you wanted to do with your time. I don't see you as the "flag girl" type.

Is that all it cost?? I never even looked. I bet for $45 you don't full access and hospitality.

Wont be at SD sat but I will be at the cal club event. Going to have a good set of tires on also, mounting up my 05' natls tires, they are a year old but only have 10 runs on them.

The flag girls stand on the track near the car during intros just before the race. They will also help with the autograph session and give out freebies. I did not want to do it just thought they might get me in.

oh, figured that was what is was and was wondering why you were upset about not being invited to hold an umbrella for the Kuhmo drivers...

See you next weekend with your new tires .....guess we'll get to see how far we are off the pace now...since last month you were on 90+ run tires and I still couldn't beat you with 3 run tires.

We will see how well year old used double bagged tires work. I expect even with them being old with the low number of runs they should be good. Now just got to decide what class to run..... I don't want to sweep the course in BS heat one and don't what to be there all day for BSP, so I might run PAX again.

What about you mp5? Pax, BS or BSP?

As my tires are getting old I was thinking about hitting up some co-drives. There is still a slight chance to take down Isley.

Probably PAX. Work 2, Run 4 is a good schedule. Get there a little later, and use Heat 3 to prep my car. I woulda ditched the event all together, but I have to go for the damn RX8 Cup.
