he he.

not bad idea. 801 should be first though. and I dont think the Jasons register for numbers with CSCC. so Keith and I are fighting for 802.

That would be really great but i have to check in my garage. i am not sure if the rims that i have will fit the car. i believe the rims is universal but still have to check and make sure. i will let you know.

Paul....

(1) Go to Solo2.com and print out a points card application. Go ahead and sign up with PFM, they are a free club and you don't have to go to any meetings or anything. You'll need a check for like 30 bucks, and you'll fill out some options for your car number.

I would suggest doing this today, ASAP. I would also suggest that you send an email to Giovanni Jaramillo and let him know you are trying to register prior to the event on July 9th. Could I recommend a 800 number in the lower end of the range...like 808, 809, or 810.....this way, we could keep our numbers together. (I know, I know....I'm 238...I'll change it next year).

(2) I will be selling my stock rims and race tires soon...they wont be cheap though....as they only have 12 runs on them right now.

keith why are you selling your race tires with only 12 runs, do they not fit on the new rims you are getting? (ansering the next question) since you are getting new rims it makes sense to sell the stockers.

so either i missed it or no one responded but how can one tell that KC's one tire was put on the wrong way?

because the two groovs in the tire should be on the inside of the wheel not the outside.

I plan on getting the same wheel/tire combo speed has...and yes, you can not stretch a 245 on a 9.5 inch rim...won't fit. And there is no way to fit a 285 tire on the stock wheels....so this is the only way to go. I will probably get my rims by August...so I will probably have one more autocross on the stock rims...so, add another 6 runs to the tires (3 for me, 3 for erica).

In addition to the two little grooves....there is a "mount this side outwards" on the tire.... Guess they overlooked that on mine as well. Out of my four tires, they mounted one backwards...

My plan is to hit both. In SD BS works 1st and runs 2nd. If I can get on the road by 11:00am from SD I should be able to make it in time to register, not sure if I will be able to walk. If I get up there I will run with BS in the 7th heat.

Cal club results are up.

Class: http://solo2.com/results/2006-07-09r.pdf
Pax: http://solo2.com/results/2006-07-09i.pdf

I think Casey should lose some RX8 cup points for getting beat in BSP by a BMW on street tires.

The double was "interesting", but I think it was a bit too much for me. There wasn't even time in the schedule to grab lunch.

It was awesome to finally take down ULLLOSE in SD. It's a lot more fun to run competitive times and actually have a race going, hopefully I can do it more often.

SD times:
71.084
70.567 +1
70.512
70.070 (I think, don't have the slip)

Of course, Jason turned it around and went off on me in Fontana. I was amazed when you got into the 62's, props on the 2nd place PAX! I had some trouble finding the right line through the course, it was a bit hard to read too. I seem to suck in Fontana so far... got a re-run to redeem myself and wasted it with more cones, doh!

CalClub times:
65.681 +1
64.847
63.942 +2

Oh yeah, I found out that Motonishi lurks on the forum so we can't talk about him behind his back. Never thought I'd hear this while walking an autox course: "I like to look good naked" - K-Mo yesterday in SD

yeah nice job Isley! you rocked that course in Fontana! i about crapped my pants when you ran that 62! you go boooooy. auto cross is not the funnest auto sport to watch from a distance, but you were so fast it was accually amazing to watch!

I was rather dissapointed in myself. my first run was a spin as you all saw.... no big deal, just need to calm down.

second run was aright, I had a lot more, just wanted to make sure I got at least one decent run in. i belivve it was a 64.2xx

then the third run was rockin untill half track. I dont know if I am just a retard or what, but the car came around on me AGAIN! now I am pissed. so I just give up and cruise back at MAYBE half speed, and I ALMOST SPIN AGAIN! all I was trying to do was make it back. I dont get it???

anyways, next time I am sure I will do a lot better, I will take some more air out of the rear tires as I never even got the rears to make full contact. and I will try to calm down and take a better line rather then just try to haul ***.

got beat by a street tired BMW (STU car) really shows me how far behind I am as a driver. I know that STU car is set up really well, I know the driver is also a great driver, but that is no excuse for me getting beat, I should have been MUCH faster then I was. the good news is I know I had a lot more then I deliverd, It's nice to know that, but also fustrating to know that I didnt deliver. I know the next one will be a lot better.

Thanks Isley for the comliment, I think the wheels look great also. also nice to know that I didnt have any rubbing problems.

Cone Jason, nothing agains Isley, but good job taking him down in SD. I like rooting for the underdog. still cool to watch him come out and lay the smack down at fontana though.

For a guy that claims years of open track experience and owns about every bolt-on item made for the RX8, and one hell of a set of blinged out wheels, I sure would have thought Razz1 would have been in the group. Instead almost 10 secs off the pace.
Don't spend any more money on mods, get some seat time.

Don't beat up on yourself to bad. Considering the lack of time behind the wheel and the fact that almost every event you have brought the car with a different setup I would say you are doing pretty good.

That STU BMW is probably the best/most setup STU car in Socal and the guy driving it is like a 3 time natl champ, and btw he won all his natl championships in a 2nd gen RX7 so you did sort of lose to a Mazda guy.

yeah I was talking with him about rotarys

he came up to me later and appologized for taking the win. I thought that was funny. I told him that he won that fair and square. I mean come on, it's not like he won by cheating. he won on street tires!!! he deserved that win. Nice guy, fun to talk to.

was interesting to hear him and you tell us that you took that last mini salom differant then we were all taking it. goes to show that we/I have a lot to learn about lines. I really thought to the right was the best line. my bad.

I'm not beating myself up to bad. mostly dissapointed in my 2 spins. I must have beed just flat out driving to hard when I didnt think I was.

I know it sounds stupid, and I hate saying it because I soud stupid saying it, but I really just didnt feel like I had the grip with these tires as I did with the old ones. everything I did made the car want to spin. I did NOT have the push effect I usually have. not even once.

did you guys see that the BSP S2000 PAXed 6th with a 61.591?

Razz was running on street tires. what do you think a good time for his car and setup would have been?
