I died... and came back to life without my car. I'm going to file the insurance claim tomorrow morning. Can anyone tell me if my body kit will be covered by insurance? I have Allstate Full Coverage.
Basically, it's my fault for the accident. Simply put, changing lanes, didn't see the car next to me in my mirror, and collided. I basically hit him (shakes fist at blind spots) and now my front passenger fender all the way to the front passenger door of my car is gone. I usually look over my shoulder when changing lanes but for some odd unknown reason, I didn't that time. What I hit was an Altima, what's funny though was that the guy that I hit was involved in an accident just yesterday. Some chick totalled his truck and the Altima was a rental. Luckily, he was really nice, he also works across the street from me, what a small world. My car is now at the body shop waiting on me to call my insurance company to file the claim so that the insurance claims adjuster can estimate the cost of repair to my car. What's even worse right now is that I'm out of a car and I don't even know if my policy covers the rental along with my premium going up, I've only had three tickets in my entire driving history, one for speeding, one for crossing over the double yellow line, and another one for having no license plate in the front of the car. I went to traffic school for the speeding ticket so that's gone now. Can someone tell me how much my premium is going to go up by after this accident? I'm 22 and I pay $165 a month for full coverage through Allstate.
What sucks is that I was looking forward to SevenStock... I was also going to trade in my car after SevenStock but because of this, the value of the car went down... again. This puts me in a really depressed mood right now.
By the way, I don't know if I'll be attending SevenStock or not, I really wanted to show up to the caravan blasting Rick Astley and spell out "RickRolled" with painters tape on the side of my car... There goes my fun... Anyone here wanna give me a ride to SevenStock?

Pretty sure you have to be 25 to rent a car. If you have the receipt for your bodykit, Allstate may or may not reimburse you the difference of the kit versus the stock part. For example, I was given $200 for my Buddy Club full coilovers that were on my s2000. I had Seibon carbon fiber fenders as well and was given nothing. If you have a cheap/knockoff kit on there, then don't even bother.
By the way, I recommend that you take your car to Marco's Autobody in San Gabriel. Ask for Armando and tell him that Alex with the Black S2000 sent you. They will repair your car correctly and treat you right. If you want a quick/shitty job, then they are not the place to go to. It takes them longer than most body shops, but they are an Allstate recommended shop and prefer to replace than to repair.

HAHA!!! That was RotaryRasp getting out of his car, me getting out of mine, opening the trunk and handing him donuts. ALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE 405 freeway. It was classic.

you CAN rent a car from some car companies if you're under 25. I rented from national a few times (or was it budget???) on business trips before I was 25.
they charge like 10 or $15 more a day but it's better then nothing.
which body shop did you go to?
Premium will go up a % of what you pay now. First accident??? If so, shouldn't be too bad on the wallet when all is said and done.
What is your deductible? $500? $1,000?

If it's close to the OEM price you could have the shop order one from Shine and you just pay the difference. body shop gets a check from the insurance company, as long as it's spent repairing your car they typically don't mind ordering aftermarket.
