Right now I am in Texas near Dallas and I found out that I am going to be going to Santa Barbara soon so I was wondering how the 8 scene is out there or if I will have to go to LA for any meets.

 

konig lives out in santa barbara but is mostly there only for the weekends because of school...and im in oxnard with a couple other 8's in the area

 

I'm not too far away; most of the action is in LA

 

Well I'm looking forward to seeing all of you guys. It won't be a problem for me going out to LA because I'm originally from the area. I just wanted to know what the 8 seen is like out in that area because I've been gone for 3 years.

Santa Barbara is a nice place, but please garage well of your 8
my sister goes to school there, she lives around school and park on the street or parking lot
her car's window got broke down twice,and her boyfriend's car got hit and run of the front bumper
is a party place...so many drunk people going around, just some advise, welcome to SoCal

 

That sounds like isla vista which is part of goleta where UCSB is located but not actually Santa Barbara. If you live in a part of town that isnt 99% college kids your car should be just fine. I lived up there for 6 years and the only time my car was ever damaged while being parked was while I was visiting isla vista, its nuts to park any car you care about on those streets.

 

Yea...that's where my sister go to school
And the place she live is just 2 blocks away from school...
I see... different streets, my sister told me that one time she saw all the cars on 1 street, the side mirrors are all broken =__= sounds scary
she parked in the parking lot of the apartment, but still.....too many party students there, crazy kids

 

Thanks for the heads up. The good thing is that I won't be anywhere near Isla Vista so i should be straight. I am looking for a garage though.
