Well, I've done a fair amount of reading. I'm headed in the Mazdaparts.com direction with the PIE adaptor for my MyFi Delphi II portable XM radio. I may some day get an ipod which should work either way. I'm definately thinking avelectronics also since it will all be apart.

Here's a pic of the radio and.....in this other pic....... what the heck is this circular deely? I'm wanting a clean install for the MyFi. Any comments out there?

It's going to be great. My town (San Luis Obispo) no longer has a jazz or blues station (really the one I was listening to was all the way in Santa Barbara; 90 miles away but I could pick it up in most places). I just got to have my jazz and blues and xm seems the only way to get it.

Anybody else done this one? :D :D :D

I'm not sure what was that hole thought for, but on the US cars, it's just a pop-in cover. If you take it out, there's just a hole behind it.
I used that hole to relocate the ashtray cig lighter socket, since my ashtray is now taken by my MP3 player's wired remote. Here's a (not too good) pic:

I heard it was for an airbag switch in some other markets. Some people have used the hole to mount screens or other devices (used a flexible cell phone holder arm).
