Which San Diego service dept is best?
Hey, all you san diegans. As far as I know, we've got 5 or 6 county Mazda dealers (cush in Escondido, Hine in Mission Valley, someone in El Cajon, Finney in Carlsbad.) Is there a dealer at National City Mile of Cars? And who is Westcott, downtown I think?
Anyway, my question is which one has the best service department. What I really mean by this is competent techs and managers who understand the 8 and really listen to their customers. For instance, if you say you have the high fuel consumption problem are they really gonna listen to you and try to understand/diagnose the problem? Or just give you some line of crap. Any thoughts out there?

So far Ive had really good experience with John Hine although all they have done so far is a LoJack install, but the service department people are really nice just like their sales and other staff. I plan on taking the car in for its first oil change at 3k which is coming up pretty quick, then after that all services will be on Mazda
I have a friend that works at Cush and over the weekend purchased some things from the Cush Mazda service/parts department and the guys there were also very nice, depending where I am and what service Ill need Ill prolly take it to Cush or John Hine.

Well, unfortunately I have to say that the El Cajon dealership is not very good. We won't go to them for parts or service due to the experience there but I'm optimistic and maybe it was just an isolated incident. My wife bought without me there and she got a better deal than I would've but they took forever and the car wasn't clean so she had to take it back in for detail and when we had the alarm installed they only programmed one key fob so we had to go back again for the other. I guess it's not major but still not on top of things in my opinion. This is my first Mazda. I've been a Nissan/VW owner from age 16 on and never experienced anything like this with either manufacturers dealerships. But I'm glad this question is out cause we wanted to know who had high ratings and good experience from other owners of the 8.
