Ok, to start off, this has nothing to do with the 8, if anything this probably needs to be in the Loung (so mods, if you need to move this, I'm sorry). But I still do need your help.

Next week I will be going to San Diego to visit my girlfriend. My plan is to propose to her. I just got back from the jewelry store with her ring... so I'm pretty excited.

What I need your help with is a location to propose. Out of simplicity sake, I kinda want to do this at the beach. We are both from Hawaii and LOVE the beach. I just don't know what beach is nice out there. A friend of mine that use to live in SD told me that she use to surf at Cardiff by the Sea all the time, and that it was beautiful out there. So that is a possibility.

If anyone can chime in, and help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

 

Are you planning this in the daytime? Maybe lunch at George's at the Cove in La Jolla. Great view. Then a short drive to the glider port to watch the hang gliders and parasailers. At the glider port is the path the Black's Beach down the cliff. It's a nude beach, but not very many nudists these days. It's secluded and beautiful. That might be a nice place to do it.

 

Sounds pretty nice, gonna have to do a little research on it... as far as where Glider's Port is.
Since it is a nudist beach, is it private? Is anyone aloud to go there?

Come to think of it.. that would be pretty funny if she ever tells anyone that I proposed to her at a nude beach.

 

The glider port is part of Torrey Pines in La Jolla. Not to far from the golf course. At the glider port, there is a path that leads down the cliff to the beach. It's a bit of a hike, but well worth it.

This time of the year, I doubt you'd have any nudists walking around. If it's a warm weekend, then maybe one or two. Otherwise, it'll just be a few people that have hiked down there to surf or watch the gliders up above. It's open to the public, but not everyone knows about it.

That would be cool, but she'd definately not be into that. She is a very shy and quiet person, and does NOT like to attract any attention to herself. But where abouts is Solano Beach?

 

I was thinking you could ask her the Q. when you are both riding in the carriage. They run @ night if I'm not mistaken so it would be romantic and the only other person there would be the driver.
