Keeping on topic here in the San Berdo meet thread.... What do you guys think about the following TVs?
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/loadC...3472%7C4529482
I was thinking the $498 one.
Keep in mind I am a broke Motha F*$er.
I wonder if Sams club or Cosco has better deals?

one of my friends recently bought a new 37" Olevia LCD HDTV from costco. i think he said it was $600. it's not a name-brand, per say. but, i thought it looked very nice. he got it so his kids could watch movies and play ps2 on it.

Did a little research myself. learned alot about LCDs.
narrowed it doen to two for the mean time.
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5663667
this is the cheap one from wal mart. it would be right at $540 total.
or this one http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-a...0317&tag=uolst
its $585 total. but has the better Contrast.
in reading Cnets what you need to know about HD. they say that in real worl comparison people dont even notice the differance between 720 and 1080. what we see the differance in is the contrast, and britness.
they had two tvs side by side (more then once) and one was 720, on was 1080. and they could not tell the differance. (everything else was the same) (and yes I am talking about true 720 and true 1080)

I just finnished up cleaning the garage the day before and got the 65 Ford Econline into the driveway with my GoldWing.
Just barley fit the RX8 into the garage.
He was driveing a Mitsubishi Galant.
Looks like the Ford's gonna make 43 yrs. old. It was born when the Beetles first came to America.

new transmission is installed and I picked up the car today! So far the transmission seems good, just trying to get used to the stock shifter (again). I haven't had a chance to test shifts at HIGH rpm's because I want to break the transmission in a little...

casey> definitely consider going with a 37" instead of the 32". if u go to the store and look at them side by side, the difference is pretty noticeable. the 37" isn't that much more expensive- maybe around $100. but, u'll definitely enjoy the games on the 37" SO much more than the 32"...
and, yes- the syntax olevia is the brand that my friend bought from costco. it's a nice tv for the price, even tho it's not a name brand like sharp or lg.
