@ Jedi : who you calling a post *****?
i've heard of remus, but i'm not sure how good they are... they advertise exhausts in the bmw catalog and show they have 3 different sounds: factory, sport, and racing- tho i've never actually heard any :\

not too beat up for the price or since they are missing hardware? do you know if they require drilling or just double stick tape in case i switcehd out to a full side skirt?
loren> just from the pix, they look like good condition. i'd still ask the seller for some more pix if possible tho- only because they are angular and u probably want to see a shot of each (outter) flat surface. as far as color-matching goes, it depends on how much sun exposure each car has had. even identical car colors can look different because of sun oxidation. that guy is in michigan, so u probably can't drive there to compare. but, maybe use a recent photograph of your car and compare it to the hue of his flares and see how close they come. u won't be happy if your car is noticeably darker than the flares after u buy them. (of course u can always pay to have them re-painted.)
p.s. did u check out remus exhaust's web site? i sometimes buy bmw parts from this online seller: http://www.bavauto.com/ obviously that site only carries bmw-specific hardware. but, if u want to see what the remus stuff looks like, it's a good reference. i've actually been toying with the idea of getting a remus dual exhaust for my 323i lately... kekeke. actually, i'm going to get a front stress bar first and go from there. i guess since that car is almost 9 years old, i don't mind starting to mod it a bit to freshen the appearance. after i got the 90k service done recently, the engine roars like a mother. i've been shifting at around 5K+s on the drive to work and am loving it!

I wouldn't do it, if you are planning on doing a full side skirt in the future. They require drilled holes in the side...which you won't really need to do with sideskirts...especially if you go Mazdaspeed. And another thing, the holes that are required for the flares are not the same as where the holes are suggested for the sideskirts.
There is an additional fastener in the wheel well.
Take what Gerry was saying....I hadn't realized the guy was from Michigan. I probably would avoid buying any body parts from snow country. They use salt and other crap on their roads, and the sideskirts will definately show signs of this.
I would skip this and just save up for the side skirts.
