San Bernardino monthly meet and drive 2007 thread.
I was at best buy right before christmas and it was pretty cool to see blu ray players on Sony laptops.
Dell has HD screens now but too bad those knuckleheads don't have an HDMI OUT.

why by a HD or Blue-Ray player when most of my DVDs are in the regular format anyway. and besides my tv is 720p
I remember Laser Discs, My neighbors brother got this awesome system, TV was much bigger then Keiths but not wide screen, any way we used to drive the neighbors crazy watchign start wars. i think DVD's came out the same year he got the system.
Yeah lets talk about the meet, oh yeah its not this weekend but next my bad.

Lazer disk...oh yeah. I remember going into Circuity City back in the day....going into their sound demonstration room and watching Terminator on Lazer disk.
Lazer discs FTW
Didn't they release a mini lazer disk as well?
My mom still has an 8-track recorder. You could transfer all of your vinyl records to 8-track so you could play them in your car. My dad had a 78 Ranchero with an 8-track player and a hard wired car phone....too bad we weren't living in Miami, cause we would have been driving around in style
These topics are always funny.....I think I was discussing game systems once...maybe with Cesar....we googled it and it was very interesting to see the evolution of the video game.....they always talk about the 360 being the best 7th generation platform...and it made me wonder....7th?
So I listed them in my mind, working backwards:
7-Xbox 360, Playstation 3
6-Xbox, Playstation 2
5-Nintendo 64 bit (SNES), Playstation
4-Sega CD-32 bit
3-Nintend0-16 bit
2-Atari?
but that is where I drew a blank. Google it if your interested...the old skool game systems were cool.
Pong was old skool uber pwnage.

Yeah, there was a Sega-16 bit system....then they added the slot to add the Sega CD.
During this time there was a 64-bit system made by Atari...called the Janguar. My brother had one...was pretty cool, but it wasn't released with many games, and the controllers were huge, and used that card system similar to the game system pictured above in jakes post.

Sunday is the Patriot Game......it is a full day of fasting and doing that preying thing where you are kneeling towards Meccha and banging your forehead on a small little carpet. (It is much fun. YOu'll all invited, but please bring your own rugs).
