Okay . . here is the lesson on the 0% interest ;
When GM offers a 0% program, they will also be offering HUGE discounts. About half of that discount is 'GMAC cash' . . . or 'use our finance company and we will give you more $$$'.
Now the discount and 0% will give you almost the exact same savings at month 60. So after you have made all payments on time, and you look back at every penny spent, the 0% and the discount will end up looking the same. ( obviously this changes if you make extra payments.)
So here is what you do ; Go get the car through the dealer using the GMAC financing. (which will be a bit higher than any other bank, but you take it anyway to get the $xxxx discount that saves you so much.) Now go to your own bank before you even makea payment, and have them assume the loan at a better rate. Sometimes GMAC will make you keep them for 3 months. (3 month prepayment penalty) But that is okay, any other bank will give you a 90 day approval period. So tell the dealer you want a 45 day first payment, and 15 days after purchase, go get your approval at another bank. (This 15 days may be necessary if you are not an automated pre-approval. Manual submissions take 15 days to fund, so day 1 of the prepay penalty has been pushed back by 15 days) Then you only suffer 3 high interest payments.
Kinda a lot of work to save a couple grand, but when all is said and done, that couple grand is your mod money.

anyone see any good movies?
i watched AVP2... predictable ok. i think the franchise would fair better if they used named actors rather than unknowns across the board. almost felt like a friday 13th movie meets aliens meets predator but missing something.

i still need to see that.
i watched superbad and pirates 3 finally. both were really good. i think i'm going to buy the 3 pirates movies on dvd when they get cheaper. i think i may have to go back and re-watch them all, as i'm still a bit confused about the 2nd movie.

my battery is dead and i need a jump...at least i get a free repalcement. i havent driven the 8 for 3.5 days which i have done before but she is usually in the garage.
your battery died in 3 days?! that sounds too quick. Sure the trunk was closed all the way? that damn trunk light never goes off if it's open...
