In the past we have skipped the December meet just due to everyone being busy during the holidays, BUT this time we will still have the meet (as you can all tell) it seems everyone wants to get together, and since it works out well, GREAT!

dont count on the rain just yet, its still a few days away, but IF it does rain we could always do a normal run, just slower of course. it could make for some good photos like Erica said? I dont think we have any rain photos? once we do get to snow we would simply turn around.

that or try to find a run that would not have snow.... like San Timetao (I dont know how to spell that one?) we could head out on it, then when we get to the end just come on back. its a run Jesse and I used to do back in the days.

Miata Update:
The miata is being worked on... that is all.















he he, no seriously, he has gotten a lot done. he had more left to do then I thought he did, but now he is really getting close. He is hoping to have it done in the next few days. (though I am unable to come pick it up until the 22nd because This weekend is bad for me, and next weekend is bad for him)

if you want more specifics, the Mazdaspeed LSD has been installed, he just needs to install the axles. The Fidanza flywheel, ACT clutch and tranny are installed, he is just looking for the rod for the slave cylinder. the 99' 1.8 liter engine is in, the Jackson Racing header is in. only a little wiring is left to do under the hood. He is installing a "race" exhaust he has laying around the shop. (its nothing more then a cherry bomb and a turn down. this is exactly what I wanted to do, so thats cool!)

anyways, I should get back to work now.

yeah i remember now we dont usually have a meet indecember but with the rockstart party and i missed last months its a great turnout.

i still plan on going to thuroghbread to see the xmas lights with kk not sure when, is anyone else up for it?

Yes it will be ready. I dont have much time to get it ready, only a couple weeks, but it should beenough. We need tog et the struts and springs on it, change out the steering wheel, see if there is something we can do with the seat, mount hte wheels and tires, remove any crap that we can... not much I guess that is mandatory to get it on the track. everythign else is just to make it faster. like the soft top will be comming out, but that is not REQUIRED.

We pick up the tires this Sunday, the wheels we are buying off the guy that I am buying the car from... thats about it. everything else is already done. like I said, just a matter of doing the finishing touches once I get it in the garage.

Loren (& all other COD4'rs)....COD is back up and running. I played for quite a number of hours last night. Up to level 53 now.

Monthly Meeters.....remember, we do have the rock band party directly after the meet.....so, if we start out on the cruise and conditions are not safe...we can just caravan to my house early and start off the festivities earlier. Earlier = more rock'n

We have a birthday party to go to after the meet. it starts at 1. so I would ASSume we would be there around 4:00 maybe 5:00???

So I got Assassins Creed yesterday . . . . . . . . . . . . I didn't sleep last night.

PS3>xbox . . . . too bad we only get 9 games.( maybe up to 11 now)

XBOX is still better then Playstation... this comming for an ex Playstation guy.

and your right, at least we get all the good games. why get a playstation when you can get the ame game on XBOX plus a million more good ones.

 

Assassin's Creed is awesome. Finished it 2 days ago. Xbox360 of course, cause it's better (also a former PS fanboy )

 

***Pros***
PS3 has a better processor.
PS3 has faster video capabilities
PS3 has way bigger hard drives, and you can put your own in w/o problems
PS3 has better controller management (you can make player 2 move to player 1 w/o reseting)
PS3 has Blue-Ray built in (no need to buy a seperate unit)

***Cons***
PS3 has poor game selection

***Conclusion***
A gaming system w/ poor game selection cannot be a good/better gaming system.
It's like having a brand new Bugatti in your garage, but it doesn't run.
No matter how much you want to brag about your car, if you can't drive it, its not really a great car.

 

PS3 only has 9 games.....WTF? At that rate, they should just charge you $600 for the system and give you all the games as well.....

I was a PS fanboy as well.....was introduced to Xbox back in 04 I believe, from a co-worker. Prior to that, I didn't know anything about an Xbox or online gaming. I immediately went out and bought the online adaptor for my PS2. I played some games of Need for Speed underground....but there was no game lobbies or even ways to change settings. I gave it about a month, tried to find other games that I could play, or would be interested in playing online.....couldn't.

Went back over to said co-workers house....spent all night playing Crimson Skies and Halo......next day...went out and bought an Xbox. After 2 additional months...cleaned the dust off the PS2 and sold it to another friend (who was like my infant gaming me...didn't know about an xbox).

FYI - If you look at my siggy, you'll see my Gamertag card. The whole gamer tag thing on xboxlive makes the system worth it.
If you click on it, you'll see all the achievements I've unlocked on Assassin's Creed, and it even tells you that I was last seen playing it 11hrs ago.

 

@ speed...awsome to hear you're getting an "exhaust" put on the beast...that will be one less thing to worry about.

We really need to come up with a cool name for the car...and then we can bust a bottle of beer over the hood or something, to brake it in.

The Snowfl8k is ready for race day...the brakes came in last night and I did them in between online gaming sessions.

The Black 8 will not be on the cruise.

 

...and you can also see that he played "Conan"..and if you were interested in the game, you could say something like, "Hey, Cesar....I see that you were playing Conan, how was it.....?"

 

9 is a slight exaggeration. It's more like 120 +/- 10.
Of course, that includes things like Spiderman 3 and Spiderman 3 Special Edition (which is 99% the same game) and games like Super Rub a Dub, LocoRoco, Sonic, and past season's sports games.

So I guess if you were to consider games you would actually like to own, it probably is close to 9.

Casey and I have been battling all year on the autocross course....I have 5 wins, he has 4 wins, and we have, at times, been within hundreths, and even thousandths of seconds away in times. He has missed events, I have missed events....we have driven in our own 8's, in borrowed 8's....and for the last two events, we will be in the same car. Last event, we were in the black 8, and this event will be the white 8. It comes down to the final event of the year.....Dec. 9th.

And as a point of reference....the 5 point difference between Casey and I is less than 1 second (it is actually something like 0.680 seconds).....If Casey beats me by more than 0.680, he takes the title and will be back-to-back BSP champ.

... Keith would be favored by a lot. if you look at the past events of the year I have only beat him by this much once. If I were to bet on this I would have to bet for on him. we just dont run that far apart. but I do intend to make him work for it.

Hey Kwescott, have you guys thought about getting a couple of systems over and a couple of TVs and setting up a big Lan party playing COD4?

 

SYSTEMS ARE THE EASY PART BUt TVS ARE NOT, i think most of us play on large heavy sets, i do have a couple of tube style 19" ers but who would want to do that
