So I just bought a new set of tires.
Nitto Invo's 245-40-18 all the way around. I got talked out of the Falken RT-615's. Ordered them from the website to get their $100 savings. Still came out to almost $700. (installed) But I am looking forward to having some softer rubber with a little more contact on the road.

Yep. 22,000 miles and they are just about done. City driving only, no commuting, (except to the san bern meets ) and I take corners a little faster than traffic. I dont hit them hard, but i am definately not easy on my rubber. ( should I make a condom rubber remark here? )

Good rubber is one of the best ways to noticably increase the performance of your car. With 245's at all corners that's some pretty good grip. What are the stock tread width for RX8's anyway? It was kind of cool to stack my new tires next to stock ones and realize I was know putting down a whole extra tire on the pavement. Still not a s badass as Casey's 285's all around though.

i saw kwescott this morning around 8:45am on the 60/57 interchange .
