ok on page 59 now and getting tired so......Great pics of the July meet but what the heck is the cop car doing with you guys?
And Yikes, Loren with your not so quiet night. I don't think I'd like to see all those cops on my street with guns ready to shoot. Glad nobody got hurt.
Ok I'll finish reading the rest of the pages later.....good night.

@ jedi: i don't think you computer issues have anything to do w/your OS being corrupt. i think it's more along the lines of faulty memory.
want me to take a look at your machine? i'll do that for you if you'd like

I bought a cheap one, used it, now it is in the garage collecting dust. Buy Steph and I lunch at the next meet and it is yours. Got some compound and final shine too. I even think I have a brand new wool pad. . . . . . . .

hey do you guys know if the dealer has the tools to run back mileage on a car.
and yes i know it's illegal. the reason i ask is when i took my car in the rep.
recorded my mileage at 40928 but the funny thing is, when i picked it up.
the mileage read 40927. the trip counter was at 33 miles when i left it
also. but when i got the car it read 0.2 miles ..
please chime in i would to know what everyone thinks...

It would be pretty hard for them to, and I highly doubt that they would have any reason to. an RX-8 is nothing special to them.
sounds like they simply recorded the milage wrong when they got the car.
I bet the "real" milage was 40927.2 (or so) and they litterally drove it .2 miles, and now its 40927.4. which means the display never left 40927 (you cant even see the decimal number of the real milage on the display.)
now as for why he wrote 40928...??? I duno. maybe he is an OVER acheiver.

happy monday everyone
michael> most likely it was just a transposition error when the guy wrote down the mileage. either way, they shouldn't have reset the trip meter. maybe they drove the car a bit more than they normally do when testing your car and felt self-conscious so they reset it. a buddy of mine had a mercedes dealership in san diego put almost 200 miles on his SLK while troubleshooting some noise issues with his windshield. 200 miles. he said he was SO pissed, but couldn't do much about it, since they fixed the problem. at least they didn't try to hide it. great to hear your car's back and working.
isn't there a meet this saturday?
