Just got a call, and will be meeting the family down at the bank at 430. Going to spend another 30 minutes with the kid after the transaction to teach him how to drive. He has SOME experience with his mom's MT Miata, but does not have much time behind the wheel (MT). Should be an interesting afternoon. I think I should take some Tylenol with me.
I can imagine there will be a strong smell of burnt clutch in the Fontana/Alta Loma area this evening.....ahahahhah.

There isn't enough room to "let the clutch out slowly". Keith has the racing clutch so it is either on or off. Seriously - you let that thing off the floor more than an inch and a half and your stalled.

Yup, Snowfl8k is right....the clutch is either on or off....this is not your mom's Miata type of clutch. I think I will wear a neck brace.....just in case. I know it won't be my car anymore, but just having to sit in it while he learns may make me a bit like
The clutch BBQ should begin promptly at 430. I'm bringing napkins, plates, and some BBQ beans. BYOB and no need for directions, just follow your sense of smell and you'll find us. I'm going to let him know who to contact when he comes to that time when he needs a new clutch.....Casey and I could use the money for the Miata.
I think I will point him in the direction of this website....heck, maybe he'll even check into the thread with that all too common first post. "Hey guys, just recently bought my 8 and I was wondering when the next meet is....."
