miata update

 

lol, we went to to edwards ontario last night to see a 9:30pm showtime of F & F. turns out, they were sold out till the 12am showtime, so we decided to see adventureland. it was a funny movie

 

So next Saturday for the Drive Inn.

That new rev limiter is like sex to me. I couldnt get enough of it.

Thank you sooooo much scotty for everything you did. I hope you enjoyed the miata. I think we need to get you in the car one more time though so you can realy enjoy it in full force.

what changed as far as the tachomoter? (ECU, Guage)

the stock ECU rev limiter was slower.... BOP, BOP, BOP.
Now it sounds like a machine gun.

not that it means much, I just like the new sound.


witht he new ECU the car seems to get up to the rev limite faster sugguesting it has more power.

the Dyna Pac says we have 129.4 h.p. and 118.x foot pounds of torque. problem is I dont knwo what it was before.

comparing to a stock dyno sheet I can see that the new setup has more torque early on. at 3000 RPMs my car has 115 pounds compared to the stock 100.... in other words, it comes on stronger sooner. exactly what you want.


This was one hell of a change over. LOTS of new parts. I dont have an exact number, but it was in the area of 120 man hours for Miata 3.0 converssion.


Miata 1.0 was the way we first hit the track.

Miata 2.0 was when we got the new shocks, springs, sway bars wheels... etc

Miata 3.0 was the new ECU, new rack, new pulleys, and all the new parts that goes along with it.
