we are playing with carbs right now. we put a smaller carb on and that seemed to have helped. we then de jeted the carb, and that seemed to have made it worse. so next we are going to increase the jets and hope it gets better.

one other thing i noticed, is that when RPM's go over 6,000 the tach starts to freak out, i am wondering if the coil that the tach is on is starting to break up at high rpms???? i am going to try replacing the ignitors, and the coil to see if that helps.

as of now we will not be going to the drags to race (should to watch though) unless something changes.

Here some good news though. Had fun in Malibu..met a group of 12 lambos, raced a Ferrari down the canyon, and got to lead the pack this time.

Yah, we still meet every month. 2nd Saturday of the month. We didn't have a San Bernardino meet this month because it fell on the same day as Sevenstock-8 down in Irvine. We all cruised down there together.

Next meet should be the 12th of November.

Hmmmm, I'm new too and might want to go. Just moved to Rancho and just bought my rx8. Not sure I'd fit the group though. I'm a middle aged mom with a AT. :-( How'd that happen!!!! Okay so my cars not that fast but it handles nicely and I promise to NOT wear a mini skirt and leave the kids at home. I've seen another red 8 around town now who's is that?

 

Which one of us, there are a few of us with 8's in town and there are some that do not post or attend. I drives the VR parked near the old winery on Foothill and Haven, Kraize Kave drives a TG at a computer shop on Foothill and he has an AT also. Hope to see you there!

Hahaha I agree with Casey (speeddemon) it's really not about going fast at all! It's just fun to gather with a group of other RX-8 owners and look cool cruising together.
