thanks for the slammed pic...believe it or not, I don't like the way it looks with the new rims. I loved the slammed pic you did when I had my stock rims. Maybe it's just that picture, or the angle. I'll take some more pics this weekend when I go to Malibu. And to think, I was thinking about dropping my ride with some Teins. I'll have to rethink that now.

speaking of short shifters...just installed mine about 30 minutes ago. Took me about 15 minutes to do the install, and another 10 minutes to "check out" the installation. Easiest install I've ever done....way faster than a body kit install
Wow, is all I can say about the new shifter. 2nd to 3rd is awsome. 4th to 5th is a little weird since you no longer have to push the stick over to get it engaged. Its almost like you're pushing it back into 3rd. The throw is a little shorter, but I wouldn't say much..maybe 5-10% shorter...the greatest difference is the "width" (the left to right shifting) of the gears now. All the gears seem like they are the left hand side of the center console..no more reaching over to grab 5th and 6th, or reverse.
Only negative, no more nuetral slop. I have a habit of playing with the **** when coming up to a stoplight when I am in nuetral. Smack the sucker from left to right...but no mor play now. All movement in the shifter now actually does something. I guess i'll have to find something else to play with to keep my hands occupied.
Cesar, you got to get one of these......

well I have some good news and some bad news.
Good news, the car stared for 5-10 seconds. then shut off. for those 5-10 seconds I had one hell of a smile. after working on it, and trying to get it to start for so long, it was nice to hear her run finnaly....... untill it shut off.
Bad news, we can't get it to do it again. we tried for another hour and NOTHING!
it was all we could do to get it to start for those few seconds. we used oil in the chambers to try and build compression. anyways, just wanted to let you all know. I don't know what it means, but at least it did start once..... briefly.
the wierdest thing is that we can not get it to do it again. we didnt change a thing, when it shut off, we tried to just start it again, and NOPE!
all well, i guess we will just keep working on it. by the time we are done with it, i am not going to have a starter left.
I have never had this much trouble starting a simple carburated engine before. It's not like some wierd injected sensor problem or something.
from what most people are saying, 50-60 pounds of compression is going to make it REAL hard to start...... guess they were right.
oh yeah, and obviously i got the car back from the shop, it had new longer rear axle studs put in.

Next time use starter fluid. Works every time!

it is a nice picture overall but yes they are a little chubby and young and the one that was old enough was too skinny. just a comment, but with all these wonderful looking cars you would think they might have one nice looking model.
i have now seen 3 elise's in rancho (blue and silver t-tops and an orange hardtop) i followed the silver home today, damn that is a small car and noisy for the size. i would love to test drive one if i could fit in one.

I know I am not Keith - but will I do. I am kind of hogging the computer
The run starts around 10, we usually go to Neptunes for lunch around noon and are back at the Mobil station around 1-1:30. That is if memory serves me right.......... Then add another 1 1/2 hours to get home.

hey, how long did it take for the caravan to get home? i remeber i fell behind, then saw all the traffic and jumped on the fast trak, i just saw miles of cars. luckily i knew some short cuts to my house ala 71 freeway. espcially since people decide to commit suicide on the busiest part of californias freeway.

I saw these girls walking around taking pictures w/ cars, and thought "What blind photographer picked this group?"
It must have been some kind of school project or joke or something, but it was funny to see.
Maybe at the next SevenStock, we can get lucky and book this girl!!!

I just thought it was nice to see the middle school's ROP weight loss class got out of school for a feild trip. It's nice for them to get out once in a while. I was hoping, just hoping that they weren't going to stop and sit all over my car. Thank god my car sucks and they didnt find it worthy of their butt and stomache prints all over my paint.
Loren, yah, what Snow said about the timing is about right. Back in Rancho around 3:00.

BYE!
At least for about a week. I'm going on an 8 day cruise to Mexico that leaves tomorrow and comes back on the 24th.
Here's a link to the cruise if anyone is interested. I doubt I'll use the internet while on the boat, it's pretty expensive.

Great to see some more pics from the event....any of our insatllatio night...? Who was taking those pics anyways?
Glad/sad to hear your news on the Racer. I wanna see some real Rotorlution, so get that bad boy up and stomping. I need something to do on the 22nd. I wanna see some racing
I will be available Thursday afterwork if you need a garage squirrel...just shoot the Rotorlution sign into the heavens (kinda like when you call for Batman)...and I'll come right over.
